The difference in 3 is that not only is your inventory bigger, town portals are limitless so you can make quick trips to town whenever needed and you don't have half of inventory filled with "in inventory" items and potions. Whether this is a good thing is another story.

Actually, what I think would be cool in higher difficulties would be limiting the amount of town portals you have in addition to making your inventory smaller to give it a more Diablo 2 like feel.

I will definitely like that then. I prefer to play the actual game, not the "juggle your inventory" game.

The point is that you shouldn't be picking up everything. It makes decisions tough on what to keep and what not.

So far it's pretty simple. Magic goes in the backpack, every other piece of shit can sit on the ground until it rusts.
The A in this case stands for Armageddon. As in, Armageddon a boner because this plane has a fucking HOWITZER sticking out of it.

When looting becomes a chore I think there's a problem. As it is the loot management at your disposal in DIII is FAR improved over DII. It just feels like a better game in a lot of regards.

Although is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that items which grant +x-y damage are RIDICULOUS, and basically impossible to replace until you get a better item with the same bonus?

It's fine that the crafting algorithm is random so that you can make lots of different equipment, but Blizz could've made it so that whatever you create is useful to at least someone (no one will use a +str/dex/int chest) and that an item being rare means that it has to be better than a random blue that's 10 levels lower.

The point is magic shit drops like candy and I've already got potions/charms/more magic items clogging my inventory. So I'm using ATMA to relieve that.

Does Diablo 3 still have that weird tetris style inventory where everything takes up a certain number of squares based on size?

Thats what I really hated about Diablo 2 and what I really liked about Torchlight, I could carry around the huge Hammer of +10 to Murder Everything and all my potions without having to rearrange my inventory every time

well the potions are just one huge stack, unless you have different types. but you can only have one "quick" pot for selection at a time anyway. i didnt find it that troublesome tbh

okay so how to make cheddar:

dont buy anything from auction house until you're 60. inevitably something will drop that makes your gear obsolete.

put only items with a LARGE amount of primary stats on them on the AH. such as weapons with +50 dexterity and whatnot. everything else i've tried to sell hasn't sold.

dont buy any npc gear.

after you've done all this, you'll still be dirt poor because you're training your blacksmith and using cheddar upgrading jewels. SIGH.

42 monk so far.

Barbarian is much more fun than it should be.

I don't know if I should be using 2-handers, but dual-wielding is way more fun.

Well I'm into act II now.

Don't know why people were bitching about zombie dogs on the forums. I think they are great. Perfect bombs when in a pinch. And even then, mine are still surviving quite well.
