Yesterday I was part of a two hour long battle.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
That reminds me of a battle I had once. Three way battle, we didn't have much time so we were just doing a 10 health match. My brother immediately used several cards that more than doubled his health, so me and the other person teamed up on him to get him out of the way.Sloth wrote:Yesterday I was part of a two hour long battle.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
I decided to try the New Phyrexia cards, so I bought a few (5) boosters.
In these five packs were:
Sheoldred, Whispering One
Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger
Sword of War and Peace.
And of course I opened these in front of my friend who had already gone through a fat pack and loads of boosters and only getting SoWaP as a mythic rare.
He immediately made a thread on TG to rage about it.
Edit: And then today I get Karn Liberated. New Phyrexia loves me.

Just got my friends obsessed with Magic
It's pretty fun
It's pretty fun
Re: Magic: The Gathering
Found some old decks, I have one for ever color I think.
I have a
White Soldier deck
Blue/Artifact deck
Black Zombie
Red Goblin
And Green deck with no real theme
I haven't used them in YEARS, but I remember liking them a lot, and I really want to play again.
The only other person I know that still plays IRL, is my stupid stoner next door neighbor who recently found his decks, but I never talk to him. :\

Re: Magic: The Gathering
Well, saturday night I had a magic tournament with some friends. I lost on the first round due to a bad hand, and my brother won the whole thing.
In a match for fun later on, I was going pretty neck and neck with someone, but I was winning by about 5 health points for a while. Eventually, I had 4 health left, and he could easily kill me, so he attacked with all his creatures. I used angels grace to survive the turn, and since he didn't leave anything defended, I easily attacked and won. Fun times.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
I currently have a deck for each color.
Green/black: Elves (I once beat my friend with a final life total of somewhere between 5 and 7 thousand, playing standard rules. His final life total was in the negative ten thousands. Thank you, Nissa.)
Blue/white: Merfolk (Standard Mill. Way too slow. Needs work.)
Mono white: Soldiers (My first and favorite deck. Lifegain/token strategy is the ultimate defense)
Black/blue: Faeries (Not a single card without flying. Hardcore control, minor flash)
Mono red: Elementals (Not great. Can't quite work out a strategy on this one.)
and Five Color: Slivers (Modified "Premium Deck Series" deck. Love it. Still needs work.)
And I'm working on an entirely colorless (that's right, entirely) Eldrazi deck. Near completion. It's gonna be so fun when it's finished.

I think my brother wants to borrow this. He really wants to make a sliver deck.Sleauxbreaux wrote:and Five Color: Slivers (Modified "Premium Deck Series" deck. Love it. Still needs work.)

Re: Magic: The Gathering
I'm borrowing that premium Sliver one at the moment. I want to build one with Sliver Queen and Mana Echoes for an infinite sliver/mana combo. Too bad Queens are around $25 on some sites

Twenty-five is cheap for a Sliver Queen. If you can find one for that low, grab it.

Re: Magic: The Gathering
I kinda want to get back into this game, but that would mean investing cheddar, and I have nobody to play with. Grrrrrr
maybe I can convince Tuxedo Mask to start playing, if I buy his cards for him.
I'll probably go out and my some booster packs or something just for shits and giggles at the least. The last set that I played with was I think Mirrodin, haha.
