FFFFF- Dinnerbone is going feature-crazy lately. Since the last snapshot, he's added wall mounts for every block and item (that show the whole map instead of its sprite), flowerpots, cobblestone-fency things and dyable armour.

And when he's done with pretty decorations, he says he'll move onto ways to make Hardcore even harder. I NNEEEEED the snaaaapshooooooot

The server is up and you can visit it whenever

24.231.65.216

Right now this world is on a test thing I made, but if you want to have your own things spawn naturally in the world, hop on the server and make them in the creative world, when you spawn you will see signs leading you to a canvas with biomes.

Good god they ruined maps forever.

They are automatically completely filled out.

No they didn't. These maps are smaller but fill in at the same rate as the old ones. If you add more paper (surround the map with it in the crafting grid) it gets bigger, and you can regain the chart-by-exploring methodology. If you do it enough they get bigger than the old ones.

But... I pulled out a new map and it filled in completely immediately.

EDIT: GOD daisies FUCKING PAGE GETS

That's what I mean. The new maps are to a smaller scale, but chart out the same radius of blocks around you, which happens to be the same as the smallest size of map.

Is there any way to zoom in... or out... on them? I am really just a stupid dumb and am not grasping what you're saying.

You get a bigger one if you surround the one you're holding with paper.
And don't put yourself down, it is a little confusing if you haven't been screwing around with the snapshot for hours on end. I only really understand myself because I almost constantly use maps myself.
