I've never had trouble with the Water Temple.

Anywho, after I finish with OoT (3ds) I'm think of playing TP again for the hell of it.

My thoughts exactly. I've never even played it on the Wii. Gamecube only.Silver_Wolf wrote:Anywho, after I finish with OoT (3ds) I'm think of playing TP again for the hell of it.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I've played both the gamecube and the wii version and I like the GC version more for some reason. Controls feel better to me.
Shadow Temple down....ugh....daisies Skullchulas (or however you spell it). On to my favorite area of the game.

The Phantom Ganon fight is really fun if you just stand in the center of the room while playing it. Turning around to aim for all the pictures is very immersive.
please stop that right now

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Personally, I never hated Wind Waker... but that's probably because I felt OoT lost some of the humor of the previous games that made them sparkle (and focused on the serious side which had been present since ALttP). Though, it probably helped that I didn't see the original Gamecube tech demo...Nap1000 wrote:Ten bucks says history repeats itself: the tech demo is a bait-and-switch, we get a cel-shaded game, and we all hate it until years after it comes out.
Really, I'd rather have a WW2 (like a massive sequel, PH didn't curb my appetite and ST was satisfying but too short) than an ultra-realistic Zelda (mainly because I'm afraid of the humor getting sidelined), but any Zelda is better than no Zelda (except Zelda II... I could probably live without that nightmare).

WW is one of my favorite LoZ games. I never understod the massive about of hate for it other than it had a lot of sailing, but I liked that. It was a nice contrast to the dungeons, which were also done very well. And the humor and plot was good. I also never saw the original demo.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
WW is tied with ALttP for my favorite Zelda game. It's got so much charm and wit and even though it's "cartoony" it manages to outdo OoT with a dark backstory that hits you like a ton of bricks. Seriously, did anyone else feel a pit in your stomach when you realized Hyrule was destroyed essentially because of how OoT ended? WW managed to encapsulate almost everything great about Zelda and polished it until it was gleaming.Silver_Wolf wrote:^

I'm personally hoping Ganondorf stays sealed under the Great Sea to have a "pop flyin' ending" to go with Old Hyrule's story ending... but we all know he likes to come back...
One thing that's been bothering me recently though... if Phi does indeed become the Master Sword... I'm going to feel like a bastard for "upgrading" her in ALttP and leaving her behind in WW... :/
Anyways, as far as OoT3D progress goes, I'm up to the Fire Temple... had a ton of collecting to do...
