As Alex closed the door to stop the nails from flying at him, Perry climbed to the top to see if there was a roof entrance. What he found surprised him. "Uh, Al, come here a sec." He lowered a rope to Alex who was then pulled up.
What did you find? He said, but as he got up there it seemed clear: a giant hole in the roof, beneath which was apparently a nest of some sort, empty.
"I'm thinking that while it's not here, we get in this way. The townsfolk said the thing was guarding the key, so it should be near that nest down there." Perry helped Al down with his rope, and he followed suit. After climbing out of the nest, they saw it: the key, floating between two metal rods with wires connecting to the wall, presumably to the power lines outside. "Not a trap per se, but we might have trouble removing something generating a cities worth of electricity. Heck, I don't even know how we're this close to it without getting keelhauled. So, um, do something about it." Perry stood aside and waited for Alex to do something.

Alexandy looked around the room, taking a careful look at the key. That thing's already generating enough electricity to kill a full grown grizzly, not to mention an anthropomorphic fox & a ninja. He took a step forward, examining the wires. I might be able to redirect the electricity through my cane long enough for you to grab the key, but we have to be fast, unless you want Kentucky fried upstanding member of society for a traveling companion.

(OOC: Wow this thread moved fast. And I just knew you were gonna choose our group to land at Zink. And would this make our group be winner for most fights? Not complaining or anything, just sayin. )
Zang stood there with his sword pointed at this new character who Qepp could see clearly had issues, even without being able to understand what he was saying. Zang's sword filled with a white energy. This man laughed and flew into the air and babbled more nonsense. At the end of his message Qepp's teammates drew their weapons and were poised for battle. Qepp began readying his shields seeing as how he could not reach this airborne fiend.
He fired upon the group with Zang responding defensively in kind. However, the attack wasn't a total success and he got hit. It was at this point the group began fleeing and Qepp's shields began working. He spread his hands wide, each producing a shield of green energy large enough to just cover himself from a side. He proceeded to retreat with the group but trying to defend them as they attacked as best he could even though his shields weren't quite big enough for them. With each successful block, his shields lost some of their charge continually getting smaller. Hopefully they would last until they reached the slowly approaching cover of that group of structures.
About me again, if you want you can act as if I never made an entry, I don't really care. But if you really want to include me, send me a PM when you get to my part and I'll jump in for a second again.
