games arent really art to me
Go find the Legend of Zelda, OOT. DO NOT COME BACK TILL YOU HAVE PLAYED IT AND LEARNED.
I'm not gonna pretend like I've ever played the whole thing (mainly because i dunno i kinda just stopped after dodongo's cavern) but still. It's not a bad game, but there are much better ones out there.
Wow. OOT is not art. At all. It really isn't. It's fun, sure, but not artistic. Here's an overused example of an artsy game.Darkin wrote:You. Out. NOW.

You are right. I loved that game, and I probably said OoT becuase thats what I think of, when I think of good games. IT'S WHAT I GREW UP ON. But, I've seen a good many games that can be considered art. There's a couple games where I've thought of it as a story, instead of something to be minupulated to my advantage. Morrowind pops to mind, but to each his own there.
Tom Otterness's Wikipedia wrote:Journalist Gary Indiana criticized Otterness for an independent work done in 1977 called "Shot Dog Film" a looped video piece, in which, according to Indiana, Otterness "adopted a dog and then shot it to death for the fun of recording his infantile, sadistic depravity on film."[18]

I think if a a crucifix of Jesus in a jar of piss can be called art, its pretty goddamn subjective and depends more on a persons point of view rather than what a critic says.
