I love you Mander! I was laughing the entire time I read this LP.

Also, about Malon, she was a really important character in the game. She's a good friend of Link's and if it wasn't for her he wouldn't have gotten Epona.

In the game Malon was never abused by Ingo. He did abuse the animals in the ranch though and that's one of the reasons why Malon stayed to work for him after her father was exiled.
Also, there is a reason why she and Talon forgive Ingo after all is said and done. Ingo was a loyal and hard worker for Talon for many many years. Malon even notes how he was a very nice guy who always treated all her loved animals with kindness and respect. But it wasn't until Ganosedorf gave him that ranch that he showed all his hidden bitterness. And as the new owner of Lon Lon Ranch he also became greedy and abusive.

After Link saves the ranch Talon and Malon forgive Ingo because they know there was a reason for the way he acted. Talon even acknowledges his faults (being a bum) and says he will work harder every day at the ranch.

I think another reason as to why Malon's important is because she fills an obvious love interest role for Link (along with Ruto, Zelda, and Saria). I think this is evidenced by the gossip stone that says "Malon dreams for a knight to take her away."
Thanks to LttP we know that all Links (related or unrelated) all descend from a royal bloodline of the knights of Hyrule. Of course, he doesn't know this nor does anyone (except maybe the late Deku Tree).
This little love interest is even mentioned in the Manga when Malon states herself how she wishes for a knight to carry her away and then Link shows up to save her from the Gerudo infested ranch. Of course the author was leaning towards a LinkxZelda relationship and Malon quickly realizes this, thus crushing her hopes.

Ingo was mindcontrolled by Ganoseondorf in the manga. That makes more sense.

Not really. Bitter people can do awful things when given the chance.

Malon and Ingo both also say things a long the lines of "It was like he just snapped out of it!" though in the games. :psyduck:

I always just assumed he was abusing Malon (and the animals) but was under mind control.

Am I the only person who ever liked the great fairies in OoT and MM? I thought they were awesome.

I don't think I remember them saying that. I'm pretty sure Ingo was doing things out of his own accord. But I guess we're never given the true information.

My favorite faries are from Wind Waker. I think they're the most original and pretty looking faries.

Well, the queen of faries was actually kinda creepy, but all the other ones were awesome.

This one is one of the other ones for those who haven't played Wind Waker.
Image

I dont' know why the decided to change the design of the faries in Phantom hourglass! It would've been cool if they kept the Wind Waker designs.
But I guess it makes sense because it would be a very tiny human model that would take more graphic space.

<3 Wind Waker

Everything about it was amazing, particularly the character designs. I actually don't mind the Great Fairies in OoT. They only look freakish due to the graphical limitations and they're the good guys so who cares.

Also bosoms.
please stop that right now

As a child I always thought that the OoT Great Fairies just painted on themselves.

I hope you all like updates, because this "Once day" thing is about to get really common.

Image

It's Zora Time!

Water is pleasant and calm and much harder to die in, unlike fire.

I look forward to this new location.

Image

Better get out of here really fast

It's about to get dark and dark in Hyrule means bad.

Image

Oh look at that Mr. Owl.

One day you will tell me how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.

One day

Image

There is certainly an interesting path leading to Zora's Domain.

Image

It also lends itself to Magic-Bean sellers.

Since he is not asking for a cow I take him up on his offer.

Image

I plant the seed as the sun rises.

Image

Oh look an Octorok.

I would kill it but it's in the water and that would take effort.

Image

Man this is a long path.

Image

It takes me several days to traverse it.

Image

WAY TO GO NAVI

I DON'T EVEN HAVE SARCASM FOR THIS LEVEL OF STUPIDITY

THAT IS HOW STUPID WHAT YOU JUST SAID IS

Image

How does land even form like this

Somewhere a geologist is crying.

Image

I think this might be referencing Zelda's Lullaby.

It's subtle about it.

Image

Whoops it totally was

Who would have guessed

Image

And the sun sets on Day 3 on the path to Zora's Domain.

If I was playing Majora's Mask it would have taken me an entire time loop just to walk down this fucking path.

Image

This place looks "not trying to kill me"

I like it.

Image

I better go see this King Guy.

Image

Oh wow he says absolutely nothing of importance!

This Zora place is highly aggravating.

Image

I decide to play this Diving Game but I fail.

Image

Alright King Zora, I am going to get you to be plot relevant.

Image

Saria's Song does not work.

Image

Zelda's Lullaby is a no go too.

If the fat beats fail, there's only one thing left to do.

Image

I try violence first.

Image

Then a slingshot.

Image

And then I unleash a fiery ball of pure fury directly to his left.

I AM BEGINNING TO QUESTION THE PRACTICALITY OF THIS ENDEAVOR

Image

Turns out the diving game was important.

What do I get.

Image

Oh. Now I can dive deeper.

I guess that is fine.

Image

There is a hole down here, so I guess now I can swim into it.

Image

And now I am in Lake Hylia.

On the opposite side of Hyrule.

On the opposite side of the three-day long path.

Argh

Image

BUT HEY AT LEAST I GET A BOTTLE

OH THERE IS A NOTE THERE

WOOH

TOTALLY WORTH IT

Image

Oh wow that is just bloody DANDY

Image

I HATE ZORA'S REALM AND EVERYTHING RELATED TO IT

Image

I am making this trip worth my time. There is a heart piece I need to get.

The process involves this chicken.

Image

4 more and I get a new Heart Container.

Image

Thank you for your service, Sir Cuccoo.

Image

I suspect this note may be exactly what I need to show to King Zora.

I know this despite their being absolutely no in-game indication of it.

Image

You react to a piece of paper but not a magical fireball

Image

It seems their god has eaten the King's Daughter.

That's rather out of character.

Image

OF COURSE

Image

As always it is up to me to save the day and the women.

I am beginning to get used to this pattern. It almost makes sense for them to send me to solve all their problems now.

Image

Man it takes a long time for this guy to get out of the way.

This cutscene of him scooting to the side is at least a minute long.

You know, I wonder if Lord Jabu Jabu is actually an organic being or some idol they sacrifice too.

An Idol would make a much more sensible temple for me to explore.

Image

Well sonofabitch

I had forgotten how slow that guy was. Yeah, he must be like part snail or something. Jabu Jabu was an interesting dungeon to me but I always got lost and forgot about Ritu and had to go find her again -.-' Stupid freakin Ritu...

And I'm not sure if you like hearing about secret areas or not so I'm spoilering this one just in case.
In the Jabu Jabu lake area is a secret place. It gives you another Fairy Power. It is reached by bomb on the land with the silver and brown rock.
