Sorry, but it really kinda is.
I spoke to an American colleague at work today. I asked him if he was gonna celebrate Thanksgiving at home (not intending to be rude, just asking for sake of conversation), and HE said HE has a problem with Thanksgiving because of the aforementioned reasons BEFORE I HAD A CHANCE TO SAY ANYTHING.
So I'm not just being an asshole, 'kay?
