you can't ever expect people from youtube to give any kind of comment less than a massive bashing and flogging. They have no better life other than leaving nasty comments. It's a vicious circle.

Take a semi shower....

log onto youtube
9:00AM
Look for video's they specifically hate and watch them just so they can leave a nasty message that does nothing but lower our intelligence due to their lack of grammar and spelling. Also they have no edjumikation
10:00AM
Rinse and repeat what happened at 9 for about 7 hours with the ocassional orgasmic experiance as they think they're comments are totally awesome and decide to start an arguement to be jackasses
5:00PM
Realize they haven't gone to school today or work, shrug, and get ready for dinner
6:00PM
Eat their young
7:00PM
Have their boyfriend for dessert (cause yes I think some of them can be closet cases)

Set their alarm clock for the next day but in the midst realize that their life is absolutely pointless and meaningless aside from purpousfully stabbing at music/movies and the like because their own self hate for themselves is so horrible that they begin to go emo and cut themselves at night... giving them an excuse to call in sick from work and or school.
May not be funny but it really does come off to me that that's what these guys have no time for these days. All they care about it starting an arguement to attempt to make themselves feel smarter while subbing words such as wait for w8 and making total moron's outta themselves.
Although their are some people who badly deserve being trolled and flamed, more often than not the victims are helpless bystanders.
The thing is there isn't much to do to defend yourself against it other than to ignore it. This usually vanquishes all but the more determined trolls.
I admit i'm guilty of being a troll at times but that's because as you said they deserved it because they needed to be put in their place. And there have been times when i've so thuroughly embarassed one that they never show their er... text? ever again. Point being you're right, the best you can do is ignore them and hope they disappear. Of course if they put a .45 in their mouth and pull the trigger that'd solve the problem as well but they have to much to live for (note sarcasim)
Agreed, abuse is honestly not some funny thing to talk about. Of course in this case it's his word against her word and there's no proof of if it's happening. but if it is then he needs to be punished for it.
True but if she is doing this for publicity, then she deserves every flame ever made against. And yes I honestly believe someone is scummy enough to do that.

My friend has a youtube account just to make joke comments, and they get called a troll constantly. (Jokes like the "OMFG IS DIS REAL" comment on the Jurassic Park clip.)
Holy shit, people take themselves so seriously. Especially if they're "ttly famus u guise" for making covers of actually famous bands. They will lose their shit if you make fun of ANYTHING. ("Omg sum1 stoel ur song i herd it on teh radio!1" "SHUT UP YOU CUNT I WILL NOW RAGE THE FUCK OUT")
