Q: Books are papery and sharp. That's pretty cool, don't you think?
A: Well where are you sticking your books?

That's it, I'm picking up Artemis Fowl for this man.

Still depresses me, but I can see where he's coming from.

I'm reading Feet of Clay right now. Normally I wouldn't have picked it up for myself but my pap had some sort of coupon so he went out and "treated himself" to a book. Then he let me have it first because I'll read it way faster than him. The only reason I'm reading it now is cuz I'm out of my own books to read and I just finished re-reading Witches Abroad.

Pratchett books are good for re-reading.

Reading the Green Rider.

Holy fuck this is one of the best books I ever read...

It has a female protagonist, so, like every book with a female protagonist, she has to get raped during the course of the story, right?

WRONG

Okay so her hands and feet are tied up, and the guy has mounted her on the ground, right? CRUNCH she bit his hand. While he was looking at his hand in surprise and pain. BAM She bent her knees together and hit him in the groin.

After he had a few seconds to recover and was going after her again, WHAM she headbutts him, breaking his nose and lodging bits of his skull in his brain, which he dies from.

Holy fucking shit that was awesome.

Holy fucking shit.

10/10

Oh god that was amazing.
I'm not soulless. I have plenty of souls. They're just not mine.

If all the chicks in your books get raped, you need to find better ones.
Also, this is pretty gross.

Honestly. It's pretty rare that I can think of a book with a female protagonist that doesn't get raped. I actually can't think of any. This is the first one where she didn't.

And that was so not gross. That was awesome.

She is now my hero forever. She managed to kill the rapist with her arms tied behind her back, and her feet bound together, without even using a weapon.

MY HERO FOREVER.

Best piece of description ever:
"Her face glowed with energy, her eyes so deeply blue they seemed almost violet; their twin laser-beam glances could peel the hide off a rhinoceros."

I admit, I lost.

But yeah, I don't read children's books very often. The last children's book I read was stuff from the Redwall series.

Cell by Stephen King, AGAIN

Its just the best combination of insane survival instincts, sort of zombies, decapitated heads, explosions, creepy detail and bricks covered in gore and ripped out hair .....

and Godlike
