Alright, I feel like I should stop lurking for a moment to make a bit of a point. First off, Isn't this thread about "favorite" characters. The way it's going, it just transformed into "most developed and individual" character. Second, I see no reason to say that Samus has no given personality. In each of the Prime games we are introduced to Samus through her logs, her Chozo upbringing, and the way she adamantly continues her almost suicidal missions despite endless setbacks (like losing her upgrades or being marroned on an alien planet.)
Third, The Boss and Samus simply arn't on the same scale when it comes to judging overall character. The Boss exists to be a goal for Snake to reach despite his shortcomings. Everything that each significant character does in MGS' 2, 3, and 4 was done because of the Boss' influence.
Samus, in contrast, is the vehicle that we as players use to observe and experience whatever place she happens to be in. Those creature scanns aren't selections from some sort of Galactic Encyclopedia; the information comes from a combination of Samus' assesments of the subjects and several other physical obvservations. It's just impossible to judge these characters based on the fact that they both have tiddies so there.
Christ...that was quite a rant...

Okay, fair enough. You guys have proven yourself time and again to be alot smarter than most forums (well, most of you). I should stop taking it out on you, so, sorry.Miss StarSeed wrote:See this is one of those times you need to let go of strange, strange past... grudges? Memories? I don't even know what is happening

Now I enjoyed reading that. You've got an interesting point of view on this dilemma.Vaxidd8 wrote:Alright, I feel like I should stop lurking for a moment to make a bit of a point. You make a very detailed and interesting point, and it's a shame you didn't appear sooner to prevent this whole ordeal. That was pretty great.Vaxidd8 wrote:A very detailed and interesting point.
Also, to add to my 'favorite character list' - Harold, the tree guy from fallout.
No, wait, ignore that.

Thanks (even though I think it was less "detailed" and more ""LOOOONG"Blubber wrote:You make a very detailed and interesting point, and it's a shame you didn't appear sooner to prevent this whole ordeal. That was pretty great.Vaxidd8 wrote:A very detailed and interesting point.

Oh yeah BTW:
Favorite characters-
Andrei Ulmeyda (Killer7)
Iwazaru (Killer7)
Wander (Shadow of the Colossus)
Dormin (Shadow of the Colossus)
Major/Revolver Ocelot (MGS series)
The Joy/Boss (MGS 3)
Vexen (Kingdom Hearts series)
02 (Kirby Series)
Travis Touchdown (No More Heroes)
That's all I can think of for now
(Notice the lack of classic Nintendo characters. Nintendo makes 3 dimentional models , not 3 dimentional characters)
Also pageget, in the name of Harman...

This may not work, but the Grey Knights in Dawn of War have the best fucking lines in the whole game!
Grey Knight wrote:WE STRIKE WITH THE WRATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS!
Grey Knight wrote:BROTHERS, STRIKE FOR THE CHAPTER AND THE INQUISITION!
Grey Knight wrote:Lo, for the time is dark, my faith shines.
The Chaplain in Dawn of War is awesome, too.Grey Knight wrote:THE HERETICS SHALL SUFFER, THE ULTIMATE PUNISHMENT
Chaplain wrote:Redeem them with sword and fire!.
Chaplain wrote:I am the Emperor's will, made manifest.
Chaplain wrote:Our road to victory will be a path of blood and corpses
Chaplain wrote:Ahh, to walk upon the blood-stained ground!
Chaplain wrote:Brothers... we must fight for His glory, for His name! Together or alone we will never falter! Our brothers have fallen in the duty of The Emperor! Pray your fate is the same.
