Mostly the former, but partly the latter, in the sense that its easier to maintain an upperclass power over people that the public assume to deserve the cruddy life they have. But it certainly didn't involve a conspiracy to prevent lower class citizens from banding together, that's just ridiculous!

Are... are you trying to advocate incest?

*snrk*
AHAHAHAHAHAH! Sorry, sorry, but... you seriously think that only ever happened in your country alone? Geezus, when you start thinking something like that, it's really time to admit that you know hardly anything about world history!

Well when you think about it, America was founded on such a thing. All of the founding fathers were upperclass, and many of them were heavily involved in business and trade. The Constitutuion kept everything in control of the upperclass politicians and allowed trade to continue pretty much how it was. It gave very few rights to the people at first.

Offspring have a greater chance of genetic mutation the closer related the two parents are. Evolution is nothing more than a genetic mutation that becomes widespread.
Its a genetic trait, that's there on the premise that if there's only a few of the species in a group, it likely means they're dying out in that area, thus mutation is more beneficial!

Ah, I wasn't talking literal evolution.

I meant like, the advancement of human society and science.

The economy of America was first raised on slavery and it's what made us so rich today.
It's a sad thing we became the richest country on earth through the beating and control over a different culture that some Europeans deemed less than them.

We will become more advanced in our lives if we come to accept that everybody and their beliefs in the afterlife and what created us are different.
If we get that hate out of the way, then we can all work together to become better human beings, as diverse in religion as we are in cultures and many other things.
It's about being able to accept a person for the person and what they believe, not because they believe in the same thing you do.

Greed and selfishness are built into the human genome.

Until these primary objectives change significantly, the human race is destined to destroy itself.

Destroying themselves is probably the best human beings can do in terms of taking an evolutionary step.

You may have gathered that I don't like being human, and I would gladly alter my body with technology and/or genetic manipulation to escape the banality of this limited existence.

Yes.

I'm going to take a stab in the dark and guess "Are you a upstanding member of society?"

Did I win?

I always get upset when I hear someone say "I hate being a human". I guess I just have a big sense of pride with humanity and instead of wishing I was something else, I'm extremely pop flyin' with what I am now.
Yeah, we've done stupid stuff before, but again, we're faulty by nature and I'm glad we are. It helps us to learn from our mistakes and from mistakes people of the past have made.
Our minds are like Universes. We haven't even begun to fully understand our own brains and that amazes me we have minds that advanced.

I dunno. :psyduck: I've always been pop flyin' just being alive and being a human instead of being born an animal.
But I guess it's just your own personal wishes. derp

INTERWEB ME: My people refer to them as Overlanders.

EDIT: "Interweb Me" is my Interweb profile. Interweb Me = Mobian, because sometimes I hate being human.

In the real world, I'm a human. Duh.

We are little more than bald monkeys. We still act like monkeys, and our motivations in life are largely the same motivations as other monkeys.

There isn't much special about us you know.

I'm glad I'm human because I enjoy having advanced problem-solving skills, being self-aware, and having language.

I think sometimes people are way too pessimistic about humanity.
