I've recently been trying to refine my Pyro strategy. I'm trying to be as good as players like Don Newman... and whoever else is good with Pyro.

I'm getting better with my flare gunning and axtinguishing.

I bounce around all of the time but I usually play as a Medic. It's not necessarily my BEST class, but I find it the most entertaining. 8D

The difference between a good pyro and a bad pyro is that one of them knows how to defend. Most people utterly hate that 'defending' part, and prefer trying to rush in and get as many kills as they can. But without a defensive pyro, sentries don't last 5 seconds against spies or demomen, points can be captured by a sneaky spy in plain sight, and ubercharged opponents make short work of everything.

Oh yeah, and a good pyro uses the compression blast properly.

I've been playing a heavy recently, it's very fun to drop off a ledge and catch about 4 people close range.

Do that, but kill the first person with your gloves.

Did any of you guys get the hidden medal? I did, and there were only five left out of the 11,111. I really got one just in time.

The fact that the Pyro's new hat is an Engineer's glove? Tickles me.

Oh yeah; I used to play as a Scout all the time, just because I like the whole mobility. I could also play Engie, Pyro, annnd Soldier. At least, I did before my 3 Day Guest Pass ran out.
