Family Day

Yes, it's an actual holiday up here in Canada-land. And according to Wikipedia, a few other places do too, although we're the only ones to celebrate it on the third Monday in February.

Family Day is the name of a public holiday in South Africa, in the Canadian provinces of Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Saskatchewan, in the United States state of Arizona, in Vanuatu, and (as "Family & Community Day") in the Australian Capital Territory.

It's on the 16th this year (along with a day off school), and this is actually only Ontario's second year of it. Does anybody else live where Family Day is celebrated?

Though, doesn't really matter, as every saturday anyone who is cool in my family goes to my grandmother's house, unless you have a legit reason for not going.

Well, whatever. Canadians are silly. :awesome: But imagine how horrible this day would be for the old people with no living family left. Good god, this is probably the cause of a lot of old person suicides. Just because the holiday has the word "family" in it.
