Zinogre is officially the coolest monster. Doing acrobatic fucking pirouettes and going super saiyan is pretty awesome.

Zinogre is great. I farmed him somewhere around 10-20 times for Gunlance upgrades (dat skymerald) and he still doesn't feel like a chore to me.

I'm apparently at the point of the game where every single new set of armor requires cutting off something's tail, so I made a pair of dual blades to use if I need to do just that.

Also Rathalos is still kinda cool, but not as interesting as the others and honestly kind of annoying.

Somehow I didn't want to tear my hair out after fighting Yian Garuga.

And my god

It doesn't have parts that I need that only have a .000000000000000000001% drop rate.

I think I'm gonna cry

First lesson of Monster Hunter: Drop rates mean nothing. If you need something, whether it be a rare or something common like a scale, the game will pick up on it and promptly refuse to give it to you until you learn true anger and eventually give up on whatever it is you were trying to make.

I could not get a Daora Gem to upgrade my Kushala GS until HR 190. With a G-Gold Crown rank. I had to, for all intents and purposes, BEAT THE GAME before it decided it would give me a HIGH-RANK drop for a weapon. From G-Rank monsters.

You do not want to test this game. Garuga may seem all fine and dandy now but he will mess you up if you give him the chance. And if the game figures out you want his armor, be prepared to hunt him over and over and over and over and over and over and over

It doesn't matter what the monster is. When this game wants you to hate, you will learn hatred.

Garuga is basically the game's final boss in G-rank. It bodaciously, not even the figurative bodaciously i'm talking the literal bodaciously, completely loses a majority of it's tells. It also becomes maybe the fastest monster in the game before it's enraged, and gains several combos that can only be escaped by sheer luck. It also hits about as hard as G-rank Furious Rajang, who is essentially concentrated meteor, along with having poison and fire in it's arsenal.

It is the worst thing.

I dunno I'd say either Level 140 Apex Rajang, Level 140 Apex Deviljho, or Level 140 Shaggy are closer options

Rajang because bodaciously non-stop (also a boulder the size of Texas), Deviljho because pin city (like seriously it basically becomes Savage Jho when it goes Apex), and Shaggy because explosions everywhere constantly ruining your day. The level 140 bit just makes daisies near all of their attacks do half your life minimum, even with over 700 defense.

Everything hits like a tank at 140 but all those have several things keeping them from being Garuga levels of awful. The main one being tells. They all have tells, and they all have pretty good ones. Rajang is squishy and can be pretty easily destroyed if you're familiar with him. Deviljho is really weak to a lot of things so it's a matter of just bringing poison, thunder, or dragon. And Shiggy has VERY VERY obvious tells and can easily be avoided.

Garuga has no tells, and hits harder and is faster than every single one of them. It also can do poison and fire damage.

"Video is removed by user."

I got your back, though.

There's also this Monster Hunter game from From Software and Capcom.

Ah, Gamexplain removed the old video with a mouse cursor in it and uploaded a new one, that's why the one I shared was removed. :p

Also, that baby Yian Kut-ku at the end of the second video. Capcom know how to make things adorable.

I made an entire new fucking character simply to cosplay as Raiden and have an excuse for all my shouts to be MGR references.

not that they weren't already, but now they're significantly more obvious

I made a hunter based off Sharla from Xenoblade. Of course she uses guns only.
Use Thunder S and shout "Eat this electric round!" "Thunder Bullet!" "Shield Bullet!" (Uses Armor S)
Excuses for Xenoblade quotes.

Oh yeah, my Palico is Riki.
