Health Thread: Questions, Concerns, and Discussion
Re: Health Thread: Questions, Concerns, and Discussion
Oh also you might have developed an intolerance to something. For example gluten, dairy etc.
If it is stress then maybe try camomile tea as well, it's supposed to be relaxing.

How do I develope an intolerance to something.
I'll try to figure out what I eat on a daily basis and try not eating it then.

Re: Health Thread: Questions, Concerns, and Discussion
Turns out that as people age sometimes things they have been eating their entire lives are no longer okay to eat.

I had a friend in high school who was deathly allergic to peanuts. Apparently he liked to eat a lot of it when he was a kid but then ended up developing an allergy to it.

Which is further proof that are bodies are cruel, miserable flesh prisons. You enjoy something? Well fuck YOU, because now you cant do it anymore.

I said the same thing to mom but she won't let me burn my body in ritualistic flames.

I prefer to just strife right past any protests my body makes. If it thinks it can tell me how to live, it can go fuck itself.

So many fun reasons for being sick:Gryewolf wrote:I said the same thing to mom but she won't let me burn my body in ritualistic flames.
1: Parasites, probably not if you haven't been travelling lately, but the body generally tries to get them the hell out of your body.
2: Virus, viruses are usually a little more regular, like with the norovirus. You get sicker and sicker, puke, then feel better and the cycle repeats.
3: Intolerance, as someone said above me. I've developed an intolerance to fatty foods, so if I eat too much I get really painful cramps, nausea et cetera. Intolerance can manifest in a lot of ways.
4: Pregnancy, I'm assuming you're a guy so probably not
5: I can get pretty nauseous from eating breakfast, I need to give my systems a time to get into gear before I can eat a proper meal.

Well I do eat young children on a daily basis, I dunno if you can count that as a pregnancy.

Hmm, don't hormones fluctuate during one's period? Maybe that's affecting your sensitivity to dairy?

Re: Health Thread: Questions, Concerns, and Discussion
periods are dumb
Also some allergies/intolerances can be fixed which is kinda cool. i was lactose intolerant for like...a month? told my doctor and he did some kind of test on me, proclaimed that my stomach was angry at me for something (i've honestly forgotten,) gave me a ton of vitamins and i was cured in a week o__O the same thing happened to Kyle too. Might be worth a question if you've got insurance?
Also I've heard that thyroid imbalances can cause "allergies/intolerances" as well

Re: Health Thread: Questions, Concerns, and Discussion
it bodaciously just happen, though sometimes if you eat too much of a single thing it seems like its exacerbated. my mom used to eat the shit outta dairy products up till her teens, then bam lactose intolerant. and now she has this condition to where she cant eat/drink anything acidic. so basically cut 70% of foods/drinks out of her life and you have pop flyin' FUN TIMESGryewolf wrote:How do I develope an intolerance to something.

She could get supplements or enzymes that can either process it for her or help recover her ability to process them in some cases.
It might be something to look up.
Also, Neti Pots are wonderful things, even though the discharged water can be pretty gross.
