I'm with DnD on the removal of pokemon => Cockfighting Society. It makes links to the pokemon site impossible. I like the filters for nearly everything else, too.

You'll have to copy-paste the url into your browser because of the dumbass wordfilter.

Can we get rid of that fucking wordfilter already? It makes it impossible to link to any sites that have 'Cockfighting Society' in the url.

Think of it this way. Wry's Mum is on the forum. If you wouldn't talk about it with your friend's mum, then you probably shouldn't be talking about it in the first place.

I get what you're saying but I don't think everyone talks to their own - or other people's mothers - in the same way.

Some of the conversations I have to endure at work would make your eyes water.

The wordfilter was changed so that the word Pokémon is now filtered to Cockfighting Society instead of the word Pokemon, hopefully solving URL problems.

What do you guys think?

I think it's fine if we change the Pokemon thread to remove the accent so new members can find it easier, or add a parenthetical to clarify, as the TF2 thread has.

It is a little annoying to hide an actual thriving thread under a layer of obscurity. It's how we wind up with so many duplicate threads. It doesn't need to be a rule, but remember if you name your thread something deceptive, it's not going to get the traffic it deserves. I'm looking at you threads that are a sentence long to include more than the topic title because someone wants to justify the new thread in the title like the proletariats are quick to judgement.

I would prefer it if you removed the wordfilter altogether. My spellcheck always puts an accent in Cockfighting Society.

The thing with that is it doesn't really help guests or people who aren't signed in to AZ.

Especially with the url issue.
