any trial area in FFX oh god just shoot me now

Mushroom Road/The Thunderpath in X and X-2

Riku battle in Kingdom Hearts 1

Leviathan in DMC3 just ughdfugdkg especially the "boss" battle.

Any and all caves in Cockfighting Society. Mother. Fucking. Zubats.

The entirety of Amnesia

Majora's Mask water temple. OOT was a CHUMP idk what you guys are talking about but holy SHIT GREAT BAY TEMPLE CAN GO BURN AND DIE IN A FIRE

That puzzle in Twilight Princess with the statues to open the Temple of Time just screw it all. Always got my mom to do it for me >>

any unskippable cutscenes before boss fights WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT TO ME

sidescrolling bottomless pit levels in Mario World ; ;

Ocean King's Temple i never finished the game coz i got stuck on a section where i bodaciously did not have enough time in the hourglass to finish.

any game where you have a miniboss right after a big boss (or vice versa) AND YOU CAN'T SAVE/HEAL IN BETWEEN THEM

the fact that, in pokemon, it's pretty much pointless to start a new team because you don't level good AT ALL with wild pokemon and you can't rechallenge trainers so grinding is your only method. they tried in g/s/c with the phone but THOSE trainers never leveled so if they're like lvl 30 (which is where trainers stop leveling i think in that game?) and you're like lvl 60 it's not even worth it. and if you try to make a new team to take on kanto's elites, the trainers in the "main" story progression are all disproportionally leveled so if you want to work from pallet town up you get slaughtered two towns in by the gym leaders or something. it's so frustrating :[ i want more than one team but i get so bored/frustrated with grinding on wild pokemon and only gaining like...1 pixel of exp every battle.

Firewall in Star Ocean 3

a lot of things annoy me in games :D

Any kind of puzzle in the Star Ocean games, seriously fuck Star Ocean Puzzles

Character getting killed in Fire Emblem

Escort missions

Any kind of water level because I'm a butt who's terrified of water in videogames

Sun king/Dragias boss fight in White Knight Chronicles 2

ANY KIND OF SEWER LEVEL

(except for the sewer level in Eternal Sonata because it was short and the sewers were really pretty)
YOU'RE ALL SUCH BAKAS

The Moon in the FFIV. I've never played beyond that because of the sudden spike in difficulty and/or tediousness.

Can you tell I hate those parts?

The underwater "Tubes" levels in Earthworm Jim.
Both "Down the Tubes" and "Tube Race" can just burn for all I care...

That one part in FF VII where you have to defend Fort Condor or whatever it's called.

It's this weird genre change from RPG to tactics fighter with a weird unit hierarchy that they try to explain but ultimately boils down to "Buy dozens of the cheapest units and rush the enemy."

It's weird and I didn't know it was there the first time I played and I just, I hate that level. If it weren't for Phoenix it would be useless.

man, I loved that part as a kid, it always irritated me that you couldn't go back and play it again at will

You could just fuck up on purpose anyway and still proceed.

Also Cafall you can go early and play the game more, only the last fight is mandatory, but once it happens you can't do any of the early ones.

I'm playing through Metroid Fusion again, and I can't believe I forgot how horrible the segment is when you have to return power to the main reactor, especially fighting the boss that gives you Space Jump(the spider thing).

Any sandbox games that encourages trying multiple kinds of characters, but makes you go through the same long beginning every time.

On that note, the entire intro of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

For a game series that starts you off in jail and has a bazillion options to make yourself evil, all the dialogue options are pretty goody-two-shoes...

Well would you tell the heavily armed guards "Oh yeah, I'll go plunder and kill once I'm out of here."

Oh god, FUCK THAT SPIDER BOSS.

Doesn't help that if you lose against it, YOU HAVE TO DO START FROM YOUR SHIP GRAAAH
