What I do is swap the Blade Mode controls so that the left stick is the blade and the right stick is the camera. I could handle cutting those porjectiles just fine like that.

Love Metal Gear?
Don't have a headache?
Let's fix that!

Also I use square and triangle for blade mode most of the time.

Little challenge to those who got access to the Gray Fox DLC.

Do a playthrough in Revengeance difficulty with just the Fox Blade.

Wow, the sai are really bad. They're just so slow and shallow and unfun to use.

On the other hand, the pincer blades are fun but really bad for ranks, because they are so slow and bad at combos. The Pole-Arm is fantastic, and really fun to use, but it feels like the only custom weapon that is fully developed to be good but having some drawbacks and not just "Kill enemies easily but sacrifice good score" like the pincers or just plain bad like the sai.

The only reason I use the sai are for free EMPs in robot enemies.

Wow, if you cut off Sundowner's shield, his fighting style changes and he puts the Pincer Blades together. That fight is actually a lot more dynamic then I first thought.

I actually subconsciously knew thanks to playing so many videogames that if I scrapped his shield he would switch to that fighting mode.

I dunno how people agree with him. His reasoning makes a 180° turn every few sentences. "I want people to fight their own wars." "I want to end war as a business." "Fuck American Pride!" "I'll make America great again!"

Playing Peace Walker again. I remember now how tedious it is grinding the Pupa/Chrysalis/Cocoon battles trying to get enough parts to build ZEKE. At least they are fun to fight.

Armstrong's theory is that war is as a business should end because it means men fight for ideals they don't understand, and he feels America as it is broken and needs to be restored to be something worth being proud of. You are clearly not supposed to agree with him, because he's such an incomprehensible babbling loon at the end anyway. Also he's an anarchist so fuck him.

Does anyone know how you're supposed to get Zandatsu's in Sundowner's fight.

…and how you're supposed to fight Sam properly...

Parry Sundowner's shield rush then cut his shields off or alternatively wait until he has his shield set up in front of him and slice it along the weak point. As for Sam... I have no idea really. I just parry every attack he throws at me and counter attack when possible. I'm sure there's a more efficient way to fight him though.
