Oh man this Office finale is giving me the feels.

Also, I'm watching Better Off Ted on Netflix and laughing myself to death. I'll never understand how shows like this die.

Been watching Hannibal lately. It's very, very good. The cooking/dinner scenes always make my mouth water, and then I internally slap myself because he's a goddamn cannibal, he's cooking people.

My only problem with that show is that Hannibal sounds nothing like how he did in Silence of the Lambs.

He sounds like Mads Mikkelsen and a different interpretation of the character instead of Anthony Hopkins and a different interpretation of the character.

the guy playing graham is a sniveling nerd, it's perfect

As a prequel featuring Will Graham, the series is more attached to Red Dragon than it is to Silence of the Lambs. In that case, wouldn't it make more sense to complain that he's not more like Brian Cox from Manhunter, the original Hannibal movie adaptation?

This is all moot anyway, since the entire point of adaptations is to alter certain aspects for artistic, aesthetic, or modernizing purposes. Shit, they straight-up gender-swapped the fuckhead journalist and made her a blogger. Jack Crawford is suddenly black. Frankly, Mikkelsen is the only actor so far to get an accent even close to proper, Brian Cox and Anthony Hopkins just sounded like themselves. Besides that, Mikkelsen's a great actor and is doing a fantastic job so far. I'm glad it got renewed for another season already.

Twin Peaks is great goddamn

I don't know why it took me so long to get around to it but I don't think there's another show quite like it

It loses it's greatness in the middle of the second season because Lynch stopped directing it at that point and so when he came back he had to tie up a bunch of loose ends other people left open

What I would really love but will never happen is if Lynch remade the series but directed it the whole way through

I won't have any thoughts on it until I see an episode.

It's a Joss Whedon show though so the smart bet would be one great season that gets cancelled halfway through.
