I agree. It's definitely their strong suit, as the last 20+ years have shown. I think Beware the Batman is only real stinker they've produced in that time.

Marvel has had a lot less success, on the other hand. After the 90s Spider-Man and X-Men series, they've made plenty of shows but I feel like only a few have hit the mark. X-Men Evolution is the only modern-ish one that I can remember having a definitive conclusion, while other good series have been canceled and left on cliffhangers due to executive asshattery and the changing around of who has the rights to what.

So a friend and me just binged on the first season of Bojack Horseman, and I have to say I'm impressed. It would have been easy to just cram out another black comedy adult cartoon which there is a big market for right now, but they really went the extra mile to work on Bojacks character and motivations, he's not just some generic washed up asshole, he has genuine reasons and flaws that causes his behavior.

I'm tired of the way that people complain that they can't get into superhero comic books because of the massive back catalogue of titles. With Wikipedia and so many other resources around, that's just not an excuse anymore. There are plenty of valid reasons to not read them (this or that story is crap right now, there's a serious lack of actual new heroes [new people in the old suits don't count], they're ruining good comics by using them as marketing tools for the movies or making them more similar to the movies), but "too much history!" is not on that list.

You know it's bad when an old Simpsons joke that became a meme is now considered "cool and obscure".

Great Chaos Caper was all right, Chip wasn't as bad as I expected him to be, and Total Eclipse is proving to be good.

Brownie points for Gamma destroying one of those fucking barrels in Carnival Night, yes I have a grudge against those.

Ben 10: Omniverse is being "burnt off", the last 20 episodes being aired at 6AM every weekday til it's over. This is after a long hiatus, one which I honesty don't know the reason for.

Maybe the next Ben 10 will be some cheap flash shit like Teen Titans Go? That sure seems to play well with CN's audience. Or they could always get the hacks from CalArts on the job and make it an Adventure Time/Stephen Universe clone.

When you stop putting Teen Titans Go into the context of the old show it can get pretty enjoyable at times
granted it can also get pretty grating too but I don't mind it as much

And here I thought I'd never find someone who agrees with me on this.

Humble Bundle apparently has tons of star wars comics in its book bundle.

Very tempted to get that bundle myself, seeing as I am a huge Star Wards nerd.

Not sure how I feel about digital comics though.

Relented and got myself the 4 issues of Transformers: Windblade. Aside from the art looking amazing I found it really easy to get into despite not ever really reading Transformers comics. Starscream remains such a great character, despite being a terrible person.

Regarding Teen Titans Go: I've watched a few episodes and they were good. I just took my frustrations too far. Specifically, my frustration with the way that the business of creating animated programming for TV networks has changed, intensely favoring shows of one format (Two 11-minute episodes over half an hour) over another (Half an hour for one episode). I understand that they want to make cheddar since they're businesses, but there are a lot of talented people out there with awesome ideas and stories to tell. Sadly, the way they want to tell those stories just so happens to put them in opposition to the people that can give them the resources to make their stories a reality.

Have you read any of More Than Meets the Eye? Things are starting to get interesting. Although, they already did get interesting when the malfunctioning quantum engines on their ship decided to create two versions of it and the entire crew in two different parts of space.

Speaking of Transformers, Transformers: Animated was the shit
I wish it could've kept going rather than being canned by CN, rerun on the Hub and then shafted for Transformers Prime which wasn't as good imo

Transformers Animated actually reached a good conclusion in Season 3. When it got picked up by the Hub a couple of years ago, the animation team for it had already moved on to other projects. And I hafta say that Transformers Prime had some awesome moments. Anything Soundwave did in that series was badass.

I really hope that is not true. I watched Ben 10 all the time. It would suck if it is true.
