That episode was really, really good. Scary at times, but fun an exciting, like the best episodes always are. Next episode looks even better.

Also the monster looks like... I don't even know what.

Also preeeettty sure the Doctor could have taken the lady back to her time. Actually, when she said she can't go back to her time or whatever, I was half expecting her to get picked up as a companion for an episode or two like Captain Jack was, or that guy with the alien tech in 2012 from the 9th Doctor Dalek episode. It's a shame she wasn't. she looks like she would have been an interesting character.

edit:
also did The Doctor say that crystal thing waspart of the Eye of Harmony?

Well, that episode was...actually really good. I liked the characters and I loved the story, especially the ending. The editing was pretty shoddy, though.
I'll admit, I've had pretty low expectations for this season as of late. I thought it got off to an okay start, but Angels Take Manhattan made Love & Monsters look good, and the episodes since have been a bit mediocre. But you know, if they can still have episodes like this, there may be hope for this season after all. I'm actually looking forward to episodes other than Nightmare in Silver.

And in case anyone hasn't seen this yet:

I'm hyped.

The reason he couldn't take her back to her time is because he had already cemented her pocket dimension existing until the end of Earth by traveling there and taking her picture.

Didn't he say something along the lines of 3 minutes or so in her pocket dimension being billions of years in ours?

Wouldn't he have already broken that rule by getting her out of the pocket dimension in the first place? Now she won't be there in the future, even if it is technically like two seconds.

He got her out at that point in our future, but because the portal was only open in 1974, that's where she came out.

I'll give that list of great to worst doctors I've seen.
Ive watched about ½ of the 1st, the 2nd I watched The Three Doctors, I've seen most of 3 and 4, and maybe 3 entire episodes (not parts) of 5. I'm current with the new series.

The TARDIS library (which sort of reminds me of the 7th/8th (movie) Doctor's control room) appears in the next episode. Hopefully maybe the swimming pool too?

DAT EPISODE 8/10

loses two points because MOTION BLUR only DW episode to make me feel motion sick.

I really liked the scene with all the voices in the control room when one of the bros. is trying to salvage the console.

I found that episode a bit confusing and messy. Did anyone else find that episode a bit confusing and messy?

It catered to people who obsessively follow the show, I think. Eye of Harmony, all the old voices in the control room, library, swimming pool, and stuff beyond the control room in general.
