I noticed a possible flaw in the story.

It was stated that 11 out of the 12 Trolls prototyped their Sprite with their Lusus. Aradia, as shown, is the only troll not to do so. So Feferi MUST have prototyped her Sprite with Gl'Bgolyb. Therefore, Gl'Bgolyb died before Feferi entered.

But in order for Feferi to enter, Sollux had to help her get in. And for Sollux to help her get in, he must have been alive. So if Gl'Bgolyb was dead before Feferi entered, and Sollux was alive to help her enter, how did Gl'Bgolyb kill him?

I can think of two possible explanations. What I think is most likely is that perhaps Feferi only prototyped her sprite with a tiny bit of Gl'Bgolyb, say a single tentacle, and Gl was still alive, but perhaps wounded, at this point. Then Feferi entered the Medium, leaving her Lusus to die. It was at that point that Gl decided to 'Glub', coinciding with Sollux meeting the requirements to enter the Medium.

Alternatively, they timed it such that Sollux would enter the Medium at the same time as Feferi, or perhaps slightly before, and the timing was off enough that Sollux was killed. This seems very unlikely, as it could potentially confound the chain/souble reach-around.

Any thoughts or opinions? It seems strange that her Lusus would still be alive after she had entered AND had already prototyped her sprite with Gl.

Remember that Sollux was a high-level psionic, and the Glub kills more psychically sensitive trolls first. A fairly minor Glub could be fatal to Sollux, but not Feferi.

But Feferi needs his help to enter the Medium, so he must have been alive when she entered. He must have also been alive seconds before entering the medium himself, or he could not have completed the requirements (like smashing the bottle in Rose's case). And unless Feferi's Lusus was still alive, which seems unlikely, as it seems Lusus must be dead in order to be prototyped, he couldn't have been killed by it. Unless... She 'Glubbed', and the waves from it took a long time to reach him.

I have no idea though. My thoughts are clearer in my head but I'm finding it hard to type them down clearly.
