It's a fucking webcomic, and don't try to make me look like somebody who enjoys killing people.

Yes, so stop it. All of you.

I lol'd at those references in that game. And the fact that Equius was a girl in it.

Yaaay! Missed those flashes. Now I miss the kids, because their plot wasn't centralized around introducing and they had more time to do things and keep us guessing what was next. That's one thing I don't like about Hivebent: Having to go through the introduction thing so much and also all the timeline jumps. Hopefully the plot's going to follow better now that we know everybody.
I can't remember, have we had any other big animation segments with Hivebent?

I don't think so.

Yeah, so because a character is fictional, it makes his crimes acceptable? It's unlikely the trolls and lusii just went "Oh, I'm fictional, it's okay if I get killed in some horrible way, like eaten by a giant spider". No, they suffered, bleed, and died. And that is in no way ok.

You're getting morally outraged at fiction. Something that is not real.

I thought you were supposed to do that to enjoy the story more

but owell

I don't agree with murder.

But I still have to point out that this is a webcomic, and the characters in it that are being killed don't actually exist. I think it's interesting because their deaths both thicken the plot and deepen the characterisation of the 'murderers'. I'm not entirely sure where this moral debate as to whether or not murder is acceptable has sprang from. Yes, Eridan and Vriska are horrible people, murderous, treacherous arseholes. But I think it'd be awfully dull if the story was entirely comprised of Jades and Tavroses, don't you?

Apparently Atlus is a fan of Homestuck.

That game kind of looks like generic shit though.
Edit: Also, I don't think Equiris was a girl, just a very feminine male.

I'm not getting morally outraged (nice exaggeration btw). I understand that it's not real, that the characters are not real, that nobody actually died, that there isn't a spiderbitch mind-controlling a cripple into loving her, a disappoint my parents-enthusiast coding a love algorithm into a robot's heart to make a deceased girl love him, or an amphibian Napoleon killing sky whales to feed an Eldritch abomination.
I'm not saying that Hussie shouldn't have written that. It's an acceptable plot point and characterization, and if I were offended by murder or immoral stuff in fiction, I wouldn't read or watch anything at all. I think it makes Eridan an interesting character, but what he did is immoral and disgusting, and isn't humanly justifiable.

Again, I am NOT saying that murder as a plot device in fictions is morally wrong or offensive, or that it makes the characters unlikeable. It's normal, it happens in many fictions, it's just one of many ways to make the story or the characters progress. What I'm saying is that Eridan is an asshole who enjoys killing lusii, and that's morally wrong.
To make it clear: it's not morally wrong to create a morally wrong character. It still doesn't make the character morally right.

I don't think Badfish was suggesting that Eridan was morally right. Just that he was doing what was necessary, but enjoying it at the same time. Or maybe you were, Badfish, I don't know. Does it really matter?
