It's most likely plot light and graphics heavy. So it'll be pretty, but not mentally stimulating.

You know what the best movie is that you should see? Clash of the Titans.

Listen to a metric ton of Wagner before and play "Pick the Piece" that each scene is parodying with music. Me and my sister have done this now four times.

I just don't like it when someone says to listen to a critic or a "professional" review before they go to see a movie. If you wanna see it, see it and form YOUR OWN OPINION. Whether or not you end up liking it or not is irrelevant. You're making a gamble every time you go into a movie theater anyway.
I'm not telling you to base your opinion on critic reviews, but to stop dismissing them because they're critics and critics suck and blah blah blah. I personally think that critics know what they're talking about better than a trailer or my intuition, so since I don't have any cheddar to waste on bad movies, I check the reviews first. Wanted looked good in the ads and trailers, but I watched it and I think it's the worst movie I've ever seen. Similarly, The Hurt Locker got excellent ratings initially, but no one went to see it. Then it won the Oscar for Best Picture.
You know, it's not just a matter of taste. A movie can really be terrible. I haven't seen anyone say they enjoyed playing I don't know, Dark Void.
If you're willing to make that gamble go ahead, it's not like I can stop you.

Batman: Gotham Knight. I loved some of the art and learned to appreciate some of the others. The voice acting was great, and the stories were all immersive. Now, if only they made a Gotham Knight 2 with Mark Hamill in there somewhere.

So my friend made me sit through Twilight yesterday.
She hates the book just as much as I do, but her curiosity about how bad the movie was got the better of her.
Shit was godawful.

That's because it was in a very limited release.

I wouldn't call it a "very limited" release. It was playing at my local theater, which never shows "indie" flicks. I mean, Coen Brothers releases are more limited than that of The Hurt Locker (no south Florida theaters for miles and miles were playing A Serious Man when it came out). People probably didn't see it because it's a good movie and people have bad taste.

I meant its initial release. It spread to more theaters after the critical acclaim it received.

I watched The Hurt Locker last week. Excellent movie, it really knows how to build up suspense.

I'm pretty sure he referred to its initial release. It played in a local "mainstream" theatre here as well.
