He really just said it to tell us how ridiculous Italian movies were at that time.

If by ridiculous you mean accurately portraying the harsh, depressive state that Italy was in, then, yes, they are super ridiculous.

Ridiculous as in lame/boring, compared to Hollywood.
Not that I share his opinion, I haven't even ever watched an Italian movie as far as I can remember.

So I couldn't find Lilo and Stitch, so I settled on Lilo and Stitch 2, Stich has a Glitch.
