Basically, it's a parody film and everyone is replaced with thumbs.

There are more movie parodies than that one actually.

They're very stupid but they're so awesome at the same time

Ponyo is based on story af Danish author. I played in one of his stories. I vas puppeteer vith little green dog vith big red eyes.

Yeah, I knew it was based of the original version of the Little Mermaid.

Didn't stop it from being daisies weird, though.

If you vant another veird story from HC Andersen, you can alvays just read The Soldier and the Cigarette Lighter. Probably not the English name but that is vhat it is in Norwegian/Danish.
