Watched "The Informant" last night, and it was pretty 'meh'. I really wanted it to be good- it was my man Joel McHale's first movie. The acting wasn't bad- in fact the acting was pretty good, my problem was with whoever wrote it. It could have been a great straight forward comedy- that's what the trailers sot of made it look like, but instead they get cocky and go for the arty "genre transcendence" and end up with a "smart luaghless type of comedy.
Wathed Alice in Wonderland Saturday night and love it. It is a pleasant twist on the original story. Got a date to go see Shutter Island this weekend if its still showing at my theater.
So my friend's parents let us watch this film called Red Dawn from the eighties. I was skeptical, after all the only other 80s film I've seen is
... Yeah.
But to my surprise, it was absolutely brilliant. I had no complaints about it and would doubtlessly choose it over Avatar or Alice in Wonderland. When I found out about the 2010 remake, I was skeptical. My suspicions have just been confirmed.

What the fuck man.
That. Movie. Sucked. I mean, it had a horrible plot, horrible acting (Don't even think about bringing up the fact that it's an older movie. That's no excuse for bad acting), and the only slightly good thing about it was that the soundtrack was by Queen. Excuse me, but listening to Queen going FLASH! OOOOOOOOOH! 37 times was not entertaining.
