So there are some rumors going around that Tim Burton, after Alice in Wonderland, will be directing a movie based around Maleficient, the villain of Disney's Sleeping Beauty. Here are some sources I've found on the matter:

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=62490

http://www.filmofilia.com/2010/01/20/ti ... aleficent/

http://www.slashfilm.com/2010/01/19/tim ... aleficent/

http://justjared.buzznet.com/2010/01/19 ... -near-you/

http://www.collider.com/2010/01/19/is-t ... t-project/

The movie seems to be a remake of the original story, just told from the point of view of Maleficent. So, yeah, I'm not sure what to say about this, except that I love Maleficent's dragon form, and I hope that will be in this supposed movie.

So we just bought 2012 on DVD and I just recently finished watching it. Over the top, ridiculous, AND SO RACIST. BY THE END OF THE MOVIE I WAS CRYING FROM LAUGHTER. Why?

So in the movie there are these Arks, right? Filled with people and animals while the ocean swallows up all of the continents. At the end of the movie, all 10 or 20 of the Arks are on the new sea, pop flyin' to have survived the Apocolypse.
Suddenly, we see a picture of Africa and part of Latin America on a computer monitor. A nearby British scientist who's name escapes me said "We just got sattelite data- the waters are receding much faster than expected. It's a miracle. In fact, from the looks of it, it seems Africa never sank."

...

IT SEEMS. AFRICA. NEVER. FUCKING SANK. MY ENTIRE FAMILY, MY FRIENDS, MY BROTHER IN LAW, AND EVEN THE GODAMNED PRESIDENT ARE DEAD, AND YOU'RE TELLING ME NOBODY GLANCED AT AFRICA AND SAW THAT NOTHING WAS EVEN HAPPENING DOWN THERE? I WENT HALFWAY ACROSS THE PLANET TO GET TO THE ALPS WHERE THE ARKS ARE BEING BUILT, AND YOU'RE TELLING ME I COULD'VE JUST GONE TO MOTHER FUCKING MEXICO?

EVEN THE HOT RUSSIAN CHICK IS DEAD.

ALL BECAUSE.

EVERY PERSON IN THAT MOVIE.

NEVER BOTHERED TO LOOK AT AFRICA.

Oh my God. Please note, this isn't an angry rant, it's just me telling you exactly how retarded and hilarious this is. I really recommend this movie for a good laugh. I'm dead serious.

I'm seeing Alice in Wonderland today. I really do not want to see Tim Burton ruin this (Alice in Wonderland IS NOT GOTHIC), but I actually want to go outside and spend time with people outside the internet, so.

My friend wants me to go see this, but I'm freaked by the Red Queen and the Mad Hatter already.

Argh, 2012, I saw that in the cinema. Argh.

I watched Pet Sematary at two in the morning. Not such a good idea. Creepy children and sick dead sisters.
IGNORE ME!

Are you ready
for Tekken

THE MOVIE

This is not a joke.

Plot summary:
Wikipedia wrote:In the year of 2039, after World Wars destroy much of civilization as we know it, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations; the mightiest of which is the Mishima Zaibatsu. In order to placate the seething masses of this dystopia, Mishima sponsors the King of Iron Fist Tournament, or Tekken, in which fighters battle until one is left standing, who in turn will receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth. We are introduced to this violent world through the eyes of Jin Kazama, a rebellious teenage street fighter who enters the tournament in order to avenge the death of his mother that he blames upon the Mishima Zaibatsu's most powerful and controlling chairman – Heihachi Mishima. He knows that the only way to get close enough to Mishima to kill him is to win the tournament, but in doing so, he begins to uncover his own past and inner demons as well as exposing a dark underbelly to Tekken that threatens the very existence of humanity.
Delicious.

The Looking Glass Wars is a very entertaining story. It's kind of a popcorn book, very much a page turner but not necessarily an amazing work of literature.

I saw Shutter Island last night. That movie...was the most colossal pile of awful I have ever seen. Please...don't see it. Scorsese has quite obviously gone senile.

You will not silence me, oppressor! Shutter Island was bad on so many levels. There was a point where I was about ready to walk out. It would have been the first movie I had ever walked out of, and if it wasn't for Sailor Moon being there with me, i probably would have.
