BioWare's administration is going to kill this MMO.

I haven't added anymore game time, and I've already run out, yet I can still play... Bioware why you so buggy?

I mean, I've been trying to pay for the daisies game but apparently Bioware doesn't like the American Express card I have and refuses to take my cheddar.

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, couldn't get on the forums for a few weeks, but I wanted to say it's all good! Normally I can understand tones in posts but there are times I misunderstand. :D

Iiiiin other news, the new 1.1 patch has been causing quite a commotion.

On the one hand, warzones? Utterly fantastic. Now that 50s have been put into their own bracket, you don't have to worry about geared 50s tearing your face apart. My guild recently rerolled on a different server (Helm of Graush) as Republic (the Republic/Sith ratio is a bit better on this server, but thankfully we went Republic instead of Imperial this time - only makes sense to go on the less-populated side if you want more open-world PvP, I'm surprised we didn't do this sooner). A lot of us are climbing back up to 50, and the difference in warzones is so noticeable. The stat-boosting system they had in place works really well for level 10-49s - I've seen level 11s tear through level 30s easily - but when you had to worry about geared 50s turning the corner and sneezing on you for a kill, it was not noticeable and warzones were a pain. Things are so much more enjoyable.

On the other hand, if you've been reading the forums, everyone is complaining about Ilum. The patch made these instantly-respawning turrets in the Ilum (level 50) area give valor on defeat. This is what some servers look like.

Since the majority of the playerbase is Imperial on a lot of servers, many Republic players are having trouble on Ilum, basically getting spawn-camped as massive amounts of Imperial players continuously farm the turrets. Even though Ilum is a level 50 quest area, lower-levels can access it as well, so you have tons of lower levels farming valor so that when they hit 50 they can don the best gear right off the bat.

I'm hoping they'll reroll the valor since the patch was released, and remove valor from the turrets.

Bioware's PvP team for SWTOR has not been doing a very good job.

It was probably /v/ who was making threads about it in the customer service and gameplay area of the forums, and proletariats were locking and removing such threads because they were not "relevant". I don't fucking trust this game or the company at all.

Bit of a shame actually, considering this was supposed to be the true "WoW-killer."

Then again they said that about Aion...and Conan...and RIFT...and honestly by this point it just turns into a laugh every time an upcoming MMO is called that.

EA is not going to die any time soon. They've been pulling this sort of shit for years now and have only gotten bigger.

EA's stock apparently dropped by 7% though

It's mostly people on PvP servers who are canceling subscriptions en masse - PvP isn't what it was promised, and while I'd be fine with that (no MMO is perfection upon release) it's clear that their community relations team is even worse than their PvP team.

Idk, I am not going to be canceling my subscription yet, because the game is still immensely fun. They really did put a lot of effort into making unique gameplay experiences for each class, and I'm having fun going through them with friends. Maybe by the time I've done all of those, something will have clicked on Bioware's end and things will work out.

I've had a lot of friends say Conan was actually a really great PvP game, until something or other happened? I will have to ask them when they get online.

Bioware is finally going to fix the ability delay issues. If they keep this up - listening to the community and actually responding to them - then they'll be good to go. This has made quite a few people pop flyin'.
