You remind me of a certain Rabid Fanboy
Logical arguments have been presented against your case and instead of simply accepting them as part of a discussion you make accusations and completely basless claims
The fact is nobody on the planet has played this game so it's impossible to tell if it will be good

I have yet to see one "Logical argument". All I see is a bunch of people that haven't played the original saying the next one is going to be bad.

The "logical argument" is as follows:
You are making a monumental deal about a game that does seemingly nothing new. Massively multiplayer online shooters are nothing unique. A game in which you are vying for territory is nothing special. It has all been done before, and the scale of said game has nothing to do with its quality.
They've presented their arguments and those logically lead to the game being bad.

A game with no real point? Been done.
At least WoW has a story. A crazy, lore-violating story, but a story nonetheless.

Have you read ANY of my posts? There are only TWO games in existence that are true MMOFPS games: PlanetSide and WWII Online. How is this not unique? Please read more carefully.
Name another game that has persistent global warfare.

PlanetSide has a story. Each empire has a reason for their part in the war.

pretty much entirely this
also sounds like shit. what if someone captured EVERYTHING? what the fuck happens then
If someone captures everything.... you fight to take it back...
What if you can't? What if this person or group has planned everything two steps ahead, and it's bodaciously impossible to stop him?
And how is a game that never ends.... "boring"? People have been playing on the same tiny Counter Strike maps for more than a decade, but they seem to still be having fun. If I had to play on de_dust again, I would shoot myself in the hands so I WOULDN'T have to.
There's a reason why the matches end. So you can pick a different fucking map, and you're not bored out of your fucking mind. There's only so long someone can give a shit.
If this never ends, nobody is going to have the fucking patience to do it. Not to mention the obvious stupid shit that has to arise from it. What's that? You want to sleep? You can't because if you do you're entire country gets taken over in a second. Or if there's countermeasures against that, suddenly you're attacking someone and boop they log off and now you can't do jack shit.
It's really just a fucking stupid idea that's running on the idea of it being on a very stupidly large scale.

It's impossible for one empire to defend against two empires. Let's say the Terran Republic has control of the world. The Vanu launch an assault on Cyssor while the Conglomerate go for Ishundar. The TR is either going to have to split their forces, being outnumbered on both fronts, or focus defending against one empire, allowing the other free reign on one of their continents.
An empire has never held all the continents for long in the original PlanetSide, because it's hard to defend against two empires.

Your arguments are invalid because this all works just fine in the original PlanetSide.
Getting bored of a continent? Go fight on some other one.
"Night Squads" are hard to run because low numbers are easily countered by low numbers on other empires. You can't instantly capture a base, you need time for the hacks to get through security before the base will change ownership. During this time, a couple people can waltz in, kill the attackers and stop the hack. You can NOT take a base that is not connected to one of your empire's bases.
Also, here's some maps of PlanetSide for reference

The arguments lead to the game possibly being mediocre not bad. You all are just as much at fault as he is, needlessly bashing the game just because this guy is excited about. I'm honestly a little bit disappointed.
I've heard of the original Planetside, and it's definetely a cool and original idea with lots of potential. I will be keeping an eye on it, and hope they can make a good game out of it.
Now please stop arguing about the quality of a game that hasn't even been released yet.

Don't let them get to you Garth, but also don't expect everyone to love (or find interest in) something you do.

seriously how is this special the only difference is that you have to walk which pretty much = boring

so it's impossible to get a bunch of people to stay up all night and fuck shit up
or hey even you know timezones, dudes in new york get up earlier than in oregon
so yeah they're all just different maps that they call continents with different areas to fight on that progress as you win
pretty much exactly like team fortress 2's control points then
what is this game doing that's different other than a scale that makes no sense and matters exactly zero
seriously this is hilarious how much you think this is some sort of godsend
