We decided to burn the server to the ground with 1.8 and then rape and pillage the NPC villages.

Assuming they even work on multiplayer

I mean look how long it took for the Nether to work

Wait can we keep the current map as one of the worlds we can travel to?
That'd be swell

As was stated, map resets are generally for incredibly large, world-changing updates such as this.

This might be an option - however, having multiple maps contributes to server lag, and we have quite a few as it is. I would like for this to be the solution - I don't think Kilo's argument regarding Ka-Doom's airship stands very strongly when there are several other structures built by people that were meant "for the community" (and so the argument of "then why can't we also keep this" comes up, and so on). If possible, I would like the admins to get the proletariats together and go through the current maps and figure out which ones are actually necessary, and get rid of the ones that are not used. Perhaps then we could keep the current map.

Regarding the player-made villages: villages, and their themes, should be up to the people that group together. In all honesty, villages don't even need themes. I know some people don't produce to the best of their ability when they have restrictions placed on them. Get together with your friends (or go alone), set out, and have fun. Once people are established, and wish to be found, we can make pathways to one another. Having the next map be a legitimate free-for-all would be very nice.

I WANT TO MAKE TAZMILY VILLAAAAAGE

But, uh, that'd take a hell of a lot of work. Yeah, I'm not actually opposed to the server reset, but if we could keep the current world for at least a little while that would be amazing.

Do you want help? I can provide it.

P.S Is Tazmily gonna be made on the "might-be-happening-1.8" server?

P.P.S I like the idea of a fresh server for 1.8

As has been stated twice already, the server would not be reset until 1.8 is officially released. It could be the day off, or the day after - depends on what the admins think would be best. (Not to mention this is all considering the vote would actually pass to reset the server.)

I meant what everyone else was talking about with the multiple worlds thing, after the new world is generated.

Ah well. I stand by my Tazmily idea.

After a bit of thought, I'm going to open up my airship, to become a floating village come 1.8 and the new map. Currently it's still pretty daisies under construction.

What this mean is I'm going to let people start to live in it. ATM I'd like to know how many people would be interested in living there, and if I'll have to double up on rooms.

I'm interested Ka-Doom :D . I think living in that thing would be pretty awesome.

Alright, The Sexy Party Empire is now recruiting any and all potential soldiers/citizens willing to build up it's might and power! You will be paid well from any materials we get from the city itself, and the Arena!

Should there be a Guard Corp. dedicated to hunting down the Thieve's Guild then? Obviously given the right to tear down their buildings, but only if there is sufficient evidence of it being TG owned.
