SHOW ME YO' S4!
Seeing as there is no S4 League general, I have taken it upon myself to do so. Please tell me someone else on AZ plays this game. ;_;
Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
Is that the actual name of the game or do I just have no idea what your talking about.

Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
I played it but quit because whoop, rebuying weapons repeatedly and having to do mission for cheddar constantly.
Not to mention it's so extremely animuu.
Plus there's hackers in almost every fucking match.

Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
Gameplay's alright, but using a peer-to-peer connection model, especially on a PC game, is a horrible idea. As is their in-game equipment model, which won't allow you to buy anything permanent no matter how much you're willing to spend.
I remember that when I tried to get someone to play it with me on a shared connection from my house, the game crapped itself and the both of us were effectively sharing the input of one player. One of us got to see people moving around in bizarre, laggy patterns, while the other got to watch them sitting at their original locations from when we joined. Only one of us could send messages, which showed up twice to everyone in the game. Occasionally, bullets would appear from out of nowhere and tear us to shreds, although we never saw anyone shoot at us.
Oh, and the "best" part? If we shot at these people, who weren't even really there, they would still die in the game. We were like deadly lag specters, possessed of the power to kill anyone on the map without fear of reprisal because we were completely invisible to regular players. It doesn't surprise me that hacking is such a problem when two people can get together and do it accidentally.

Ignorance is not the same as innocence.
Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
Hacking wasn't the problem when I stopped, the latency was. I'm a little end-of-the-line here so P2P connections don't like me
When you play the bassoon all life's other bassoon just seems to bassoon into bassoon
Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
actually just updated and played for the first time in like two years last night
wish they'd kept the license thing for the newer weapons, no idea how to use them
it's much more hip-hop than animu
and there's no hacking, it's lag. as Gan said, the network system is awful

Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
I had more fun with Gunz.
Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
Pretty much. Like people said, the lag was unplayable. Gunz was ridiculously stupid, but at least I got a giggle or two out of seeing people fly across the whole level with cheap sword jump tricks.

You ever bother to check the latency of those players?Valbrandur wrote:The infinite health, one shot kills, being able to use the special powers infinitely?

Re: SHOW ME YO' S4!
Yeah and some of them didn't show any high latency.

I played when it was 'released' here, I had my fair share of fun back then. Didn't knew that it became that horrible so fast
