Meanwhile, guess what I did all last week at summer camp? Played fucking magnets the gathering. Every single morsel of free time I had, I had my cards in hand. Throughout the week, we (Meaning me, my friend, and my brother) taught multiple people to play, and I know AT LEAST one person went to wal mart for some cards as soon as the week was over.
All in all, it was a fun week. I won a lot, due to the awesomeness of my deck.

Darkin just bought the steam game for me, and i brushed up on the rules, anyone up for some practice games on Friday?
Re: Magic: The Gathering
Actually, I just use a rapid fire starter deck. But I beat my friend with it so many times, when he has this customized(I think) deck with a bunch of elderazi, giant spiders, fusion elemental, etc. I think it just has a good balance of land cards, creatures, and spells. Also, I freaking love landfalls. The ruin ghost's ability is basically it triggers landfalls in exchange for 1 plain mana, so it works well with landfalls.Stranaton wrote:I assume you play legacy?
Also, my brother has a flyover deck. I have one less flying creature than he does. Try to figure that out.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
My deck can do 3 things:
Infinite artifact creatures
Infinite mana
Infinite damage
COME AT ME BRO
Also, can we input irl decks into the mtg digital game?

Re: Magic: The Gathering
the customization in DOTP 2012 is very lacking. no scratch that. EXTREMELY LACKING. you can only customize a deck with the 16 expansion cards that comes with it. no cards from other decks. Also, you cant transferred your cards if you owned the first version.
Well that was a stupid move by the developers.

really I'd only recommend those games to somebody who wants to play magic but isn't willing and/or capable to spent all their cheddar on cards.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
I want to play some matches with you guys this summer.I'll set up a tinychat for webcam matches.

Re: Magic: The Gathering
I'd love to join but I don't exactly have a webcam.
that and my only real deck is my jace's erasure deck and that's just a clusterfuck of drawing cards that falls apart if I don't get said card out on the first few turns. still fun as hell when it does go off though.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
I just got into it about 4 days ago.
Spent $45 already.
Got me a green deck. I bought Garruk, Liege of the Tangle, and Feral Hydra.
I'm still getting the hang of it, but I caught on faster then what I expected.

Re: fucking magnets: The Gathering
I have a mixture of Vintage and Type 2 right now, so I can't participate in any official tournaments, but I have some alternate cards that I can substitute if I really wanted to make it tourney legal.
But I'm not planning on going to any tournaments anytime soon
