jesus tapdancing christ those double sided cards look awesome. fffffffffffffffff man I was already excited as hell for innistrad and now I know i won't be able to make it to release.

also i'm really trying to think of whether I want to build a zombie or vampire deck, all things considered. though after seeing this card I think my mind is made up.

This weekends camp out was good, MTG wise. Traded a mammoth umbra for two eldrazi and a rot wolf for some kind of strong creature, forgot what it is. And I got to try out my new Darksteel Myr / Gorgon flail combo against someone, to make a 1/2 indestructable creature with deathtouch. It makes a nice inexpensive trump card for my blue deck, in the right scenario. (Meaning when the opponent doesn't have unsummon, exile, debuff, pacifism, etc.)

I managed to beat someone using rot wolf in less than five turns, I believe. I put down rot wolf, gave it that enchantment that gives +2/+2 and regenerate (or maybe it was an equipment), and then I used giant growth on it, and attacked him. He did not have any creatures defending, so I got 7 poison counters directly onto him. He got a strong-ish creature on the field, I put down a plague myr, and buffed that in some manner I forget. I attacked, he could only defend one, and the other would get 10 or more poison counters total on him, so I won.

Then in another match, a triple battle, there was an interesting turnout. All of us got some interesting stuff on the field, and we took out the player with the strongest creatures, after a long while of alliance switching and trying to get past his armada of creatures, and his healing with a buffed souls attendant. After he was out, it was me and the other person, my strongest creature was a 4/4 with a 2/1 equipment and some other assorted weak creatures, he only had a peleka worm. Both of us had 7 health, and thus were pretty much at a stalemate for a few turns. I got a goblin piker and put it onto the field, and moved the 2/1 equipment to it, making it a 4/2. If he attacked me, I would have defended with something and killed him with my other creatures, if I attacked he could only defend one creature, and the rest would kill him, so I attacked. I won.

Was trading a mammoth umbra for an artisan of kozilek and pathrazer of ulamog worth it, especially since I only had one eldrazi previously?

Buffing a single creature into oblivion is fun. Imagine a 7/11 vigilance lifelink creature that is immune to non combat damage. Imagine playing that against a new player. Imagine also having two cards that could save that creature from destruction if the need be. (Safe passage and divine verdict)

That is a fun creature.

man i don't know why my local pre-release (well the one I went to at least) getting canned due to only like 3 people showing has made me lose so much interest in innistrad. shit this was like almost a week ago now.

i need to get some cash together and buy a good pile of packs (honestly at the place I go to for packs it's cheaper to just buy them alone instead of a fat pack) one of these days. it just came out today right?

still need that maniac, if nothing else. can't deny that the flavor is godly.

You know what we should do? Those games via tinychat we talked about a while ago. Unless you guys have been doing it this whole time and haven't told me. I cant get my brother off of tumblr long enough to play a match with him.

Also, you know how how I mentioned the 7/11 vigilance lifelink etc creature earlier?

I did it again.

But better.
