But seriously
what is even the point
I don't see why you can't just use the freaking touch screen to move your angle
You know, the main innovation of the original DS

I can't stop.

You're forgetting the part where all the second thumbstick does is move the camera.
Which is not like a number one priority.

I really don't see the big deal with the second slide pad, since there were games on the DS that showed that the touch screen was a solid replacement (even if it took a little bit to get used to it).
If people want to attachment, then fine. I don't really care for it and I doubt it's really going to change anything. People are still going to be butthurt that it didn't have it originally, since it's "essential to gaming at this point", like having online multiplayer and not supporting local, because who even wants to play games in the same room as another human being?

THE SECOND SLIDE PAD.
IS PACKAGED WITH MONSTER HUNTER.
IT IS NOT NECESSARILY GOING TO BE A KEY FEATURE.
I DOUBT ANY GAMES WILL BENEFIT GREATLY FROM IT AT ALL.
DONT ACT LIKE THE 3DS WOULDNT BE BETTER WITH IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

But it would have been a waste of space.
The 3DS does not need it at all.
Period.

>waste of space
there is free space under the buttons!
I would rather have 2 slide pads than 3 fucking cameras and a a goddamn gyroscope.

And I'd rather have the inverse. It seems we're at an impasse.

But here's the thing.
Without a camera, you can not take pictures.
Without a gyroscope, you can't aim like you would in real life.
Without a slide pad, you can just use the touch screen.
Maybe the inner camera was an unnecessary addition, but that's it.

A second slide pad would be infinitely better than 3D pictures which is little more than a gimmick. and the second slide pad would easily replace the gyroscope so you dont look like a fucking retard swinging your 3DS all over the place. Not to mention using gyroscope controls pretty much breakes the 3D effect on the 3DS. Bad decisions Nintendo made.
@NdividedbyZero Who cares about taking crappy 0.3 mega pixel pictures. And if you wanna aim in real life, get a BOW, or GUN, or SLINGSHOT.

How about if you want a second analog stick, you go play something other than the 3DS?

Good counter argument. /sarcasm
2 analogue sticks has started to become the norm with all gaming. So if Nintendo wants to be up to par with their competitors, the should've added one in the first place. Every current gen console has 2 analogue sticks (except Wii, but the Wii U has it) on their controllers. The're behind their competitors, just like they were with the Wii.

And I don't see how my argument is any more invalid than yours.

They gave away a second slide pad for more gimmicks, which in my opinion is a very bad move.
