I hit max lvl (27) and promoted myself. I got a little star next to my name now and was reset back to lvl 1. I still unlock everything at the same pace, so there is no real point to do it unless u want the star.

I am already at level 17 or higher and I've had 2 promotions now.
Going to promote myself as often as I can.

I got infected and died with in 2 minutes.

It won't, and it will set your teammates on fire.
you can shock them with tesla to slow down the infection, or use chainsaw.
