Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
I think it might be tcp, I only have tcp and udp so I guess just mess with them.

Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
I tried having both TCP and UDP using 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.150 and they got connection timeout every time.

Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
Did you try 192.168.0.2?
If all else fails you can use my server

Yeah that didn't work either. Also we would but we'd really rather have a private server. :\ Thanks for trying to help, though.

Well it's not like anyone is playing on this one, but idk why you can't get it to work, was it working at another time? Also did you make sure you have the latest minecraft server?

Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
Yeah, I have the latest. I think the last time I hosted a server properly was... maybe a month ago? I don't recall changing anything since then though.

Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
IPs might fuck around and change from time to time, depending on whether you've changed your router security type I think.
Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
Yes, sometimes your computer's local ip changes randomly, and that can mess things up.

Augh these bats are annoying as hell...
Everywhere I go I hear their high pitched noises, even above ground.

Looking at Endermen is terrifying now.

Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
Guys I know my ip changes a lot that's why I checked it every single time I had someone try to connect.
Re: The Big Ol' Minecraft Thread!
192.168.0.1 should be your rotuer, and 192.168.0.150 is your computer(LAN IP).BeatBoxingBoo wrote:Well, the one person who actually gave me a straight answer and didn't just look at it through the server browser says they got
Can't connect! Connection timed out.
or whatever that error says. I can connect to my server.
Here's a screenshot of my port forwarding page
My Default Gateway is 192.168.0.1, and my IPv4 Address is 192.168.0.150. I can't remember which one I'm supposed to use to port forward though.
192.168.0.150 is what should be in your LAN box, unlike the screenshot shown here.
To find your local IP to see if it changed, use these steps:

run
cmd
ipconfig
ipv4

I'm surprised for the scary update they didn't add "Torch Levers" for some hidden passageway shenanigans
