And never, under any circumstances, look an Enderman in the eye.

Always carry a workbench, at least 2 extra pickaxes on you at all times, sticks, and food on you at all times

in unrelated news, I'm thinking about starting a minecraft stream Y/N?

As long as you stand directly under a 3-high block, the Enderman can't hit you easily

Mobs won't spawn on some blocks like glass and half blocks (iirc) and carry lots of torches

If you can get under some water, mobs will come stand on top of you, but they can't damage you, and you can punch at their feet to kill them. It's pretty useful for starting a new world and getting easy string from spiders for a bow and arrows from skeletons.

On your first night, getting wood and coal is priority to make torches so mobs won't spawn in your shelter. If you can't find any then just build yourself a box and sit in it for a while. After you have a steady shelter you'll need to find sheep for their wool so you can make a bed. This is important because it both speeds up night time and sets your spawn point to your shelter if you die. Always carry multiple pickaxes with you because they WILL break and you don't want to have to run all the way back up to wherever just to make another pickaxe. Chances are you'll be digging pretty deep so unless you have a lot of rails it's a long trip back up. You will want to have food on you all the time. A personal farm is a good way to do this. All the tall grass around you has a chance to drop seeds which will grow into wheat. You can use wheat to make bread among other things. Though, I find growing melons to be more productive as each melon will give you about 3-5 slices and will continuously grow where wheat always gives you one unit of wheat and a few seeds that you must replant manually. ALWAYS HOLD SHIFT WHILE WALKING ON YOUR FARMLAND. This is very important, because if you don't then you'll trample the tilled soil and make it useless for farming. You can re till it but that expends a usage on your hoe so it's best if you just don't trample it. Even if you never use any proletariats ever I would suggest putting Rei's Minimap in your game, as it will show you where mobs, animals, and NPCs are as well as allowing you to set waypoints so you don't get lost. It also has an option to show where you died so you can recover your loot faster. When mining deep underground be wary of lava as it can come from anywhere. If you're far into the game and already have a brewing stand, you can craft fire resistance and burnproof potions which lessen the damage you take from fire and make it so you don't burn, respectively. Invest in a bow and a good number of arrows somewhat early; they're very useful against mobs and most of the time 2-3 fully charged shots will kill them. However, swords are also viable and you shouldn't feel pressured to always use a bow. Don't dig straight down because you might encounter a pit, tunnel, or lava. However by all means dig in a downward direction. Redstone is confusing to those new to it so don't mess with it unless you like learning by trial and error or have a tutor/guide with you. Or online tutorials. Don't feel like you have to play survival all the time either. If you get that builder's itch then by all means go creative. Hardcore is for insane people but if you feel like a challenge, then go for it. Multiplayer is fun but it can be tricky finding the right server for you. When in doubt just play on a server with a few buddies.

I think that covers it. If you have any more questions or want me to elaborate or go in more detail on a certain aspect of the game, feel free to shoot me a PM. I'm more friendly than I look, and I don't mind helping you at all. :)

This applies to anyone who wants to learn about Minecraft. I don't know everything about it but I know a daisies good deal.

tl;dr - I'm a huge nerd

So i made my way into the tropics of tropicraft, and built a decent house, afterwards i discovered a nearby village full of traders, while walking there, i saw some small peices of purified sand, i knew that near these there was treasure, so i checked around and found nothing.

When i got there, i traded and got a coconut bomb, i used it in the hole and it exploded, revealing the chest, inside was 43 gold and 9 diamonds, a zircon spear, and more stuff.

This solidified Tropicraft as my favorite mod and i highly reccomend it.

So I've been working in the snapshot and apparently I got it in my head that autofarms were a good idea, so I've made two so far in my fuck-around Creative map. If anyone wants to see them (you'll need the snapshot obviously) then tell me and I'll send the save folder to you.

Well, I figured I've put it off for too long.

The Official SolCraft 12w26a Snapshot Dedicated Server will be beta tested tonight to see if I can leave my laptop running without something crashing. Come one come all and try to survive after washing up on a mysteeeeerious beach! Your initial island is slightly barren (yet beautiful) and rather devoid of resources, but if you explore around you'll most definitely find something worth grabbing. However, I will ask you to not touch the Mountaintop Manor or its Cocoa Farm because that belongs to myself and Need Runes4. Stake a claim, make a name for yourself, or just fuck around with buddies (but no griefing!), you can do it all in SolCraft!

Server IP: 66.169.162.162:25565 (Port may be needed to connect depending on your system)
PvP is OFF. If requested immensely then I'll add it in, but otherwise it's gonna stay off because we're all friends here.
It's also open to those who use the cracked client, so even if you don't have a legit Minecraft account you can still play. I'll warn you right now, though, if you log in as another user without their express permission then I'm turning off this option forever.
Whitelist is also turned off but again, if this is abused by spam accounts or griefer accounts then I'll have to turn it on. Play it smart, kiddos.
Level seed will be given out to those who request it, otherwise I'm keeping that information semi-private.
Report any complaints, bugs, issues, etc. to either my Awkward Zombie Inbox or my email address: shozanmario93@live.com. Alternatively you can reach me on almost every IM client, all listed on my Awkward Zombie Profile Page. I'm also on Skype as shozanmario93 (DER TOASTYMANCER) so you can reach me there as well.

For now, let the server test begin! Also, if you spawn somewhere other than the edge of an island with sand and torches then let me know by way of the methods mentioned above for reporting. As a final note, if the server shuts down (is completely unreachable by anyone) for whatever reason then let me know.
Also, please note that I'm not trying to "compete" with Noffletoff for AZ Snapshot Server, I just noticed that his server isn't always up and decided to take the pressure off him (if there ever was any to begin with).
