I ran it, but it is shut down now. I am working on setting up a new server, but work is slow as Tekkit isn't updating fast.

Or you can play on my server, I try to keep it up whenever I can. I've put the IP here before.

There tends to be no to little lag for anyone involved, and we have plugins like essentials and factions, and have a cool but small player base. Hopefully our player base will increase a bit once we republish the server on planet minecraft.

On my server? Because I have the spawn set to a specific location, and its not on a cliff.

Just did.
It's just one giant tundra biome with deep ocean valleys, tall mountains, a couple lava pools on the surface, some swamps, a desert biome, a key of islands, and a forest.

It doesn't even have any surface ravines or villages, and the nearest fortress is outside the main map.

I posted the seed 'winter' a while back. If the biome codes have changed since then and world generation is different, then it no longer drops you into a pool of lava as soon as you spawn.

Anyone remember when I posted the seed that spawned you in a spider dungeon? Oh man that was hilarious. :'D

I miss 1.7.3 terrain generation.
If they could make the new biomes in 1.7.3 generation I would love it.

I didn't spawn in any lava pits.
I feel cheated. :colbert:
