anyways ive been having issues playing minecraft lately like no matter what i do i cant get it to not lag.
like every other second it freezes. so walking, for example, goes: "step step step-freeze-step step step-freeze-step step step" etc. and dont get me started on trying to jump in those conditions.
it gets me killed. a lot.

i havent been able to enjoy minecraft in soooo long because of it

i had it once as part of an auto-installing modpack. i can't remember which. it's updated a few times by now, though, i know that.

if a mod doesn't have an auto-installer i don't trust myself to install it myself. i've fucked minecraft up really badly in the past with supposedly really simple proletariats.

one time i messed it up so bad that forcing updates and redownloading etc didnt work

nothing i tried work, not even the official forums and IRC channels could help me

i actually wound up doing a system restore to fix it...

all i know was that force update did nothing, completely deleting the .minecraft folder and starting from scratch didn't work...
