The newer one sounds nice though, I certainly like the duet the strings do.

Eh. Call me nostalgic, but I personally like the older one better.

WHERE IS THIS MERLIN I KEEP HEARING OF
What harm could come from imprisoning a hellinternet beast every night and making it hate humanity and what it stands for?
Then we can release it back into the wild.

Holy crap, that's beautiful. Goddesses, I hope they do that with more tracks. I want to hear Gohdan's theme with live organ.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
i love the new version but i still prefer the old. idk it feels more cheery? the new one sounds deeper and muffled and it doesn't have quite the same "pop flyin'" feeling the old midi-ish one did. i'm also operating with a healthy dose of nostalgia.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I personally prefer the new one, mainly because the music now has depth. When you listen to the comparison, the gamecube version just sounds extremely flat. Yeah, you can hear everything "perfectly" and at the same time, but then you lose the nuances.
It'd be like going to a symphony and hearing all of the instruments blurt out at the same time. They gotta ebb and flow a bit with the melody.
I can't wait to hear the same depth in Dragon Roost.

Bought the Wii U/Zelda bundle the other day. Goddamn is it a vast improvement on the gamecube game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
How far have you gotten? So far only two things really bother me.
When you get the bombs and have to destroy the rock wall with it I got major slowdown, which didn't happen in the GC version as far as I remember. Also I can't seem to hit the peahats with bombs. No matter how close or far the bombs kept passing through them.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
You mean the ocean peahats or the itty bitty ones? I always used the boomerang with the ocean fellows. I haven't gotten far at all, I'm trying to play it on hero mode.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
The ocean peahats. The little ones are fine as long as they don't fall down out of reach of your boomerang.
Re: The Legend of Zelda
Yeah just use the boomerang on the ocean peahats, should work the same unless they changed that from the gamecube version.
