Re: The Legend of Zelda
after seeing this demo, I feel a bit better about my qualms with the trailer.
Dunno if unlimited arrows is an actual gameplay thing or a demo, but I like that everything drains stamina/magic a bit to keep from spamming attacks wildly. The gameplay is smart and responsive with not as much room for error, which keeps people on their toes, and even though the level design is a bit of a rehash, it's also new and unique in gameplay and problem solving.
Get hype.

The stamina bar reminds me a bit of Dark Souls so that's kinda a good thing.
Then again, that demo didn't seem to be hard, but that's fine because its a kid's game. I just hope it gets a bit more challenging latter in the game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Not sure how I feel about them recycling an entire overworld. Then again, I suppose it would be nice to actually see some consistency between games in where certain things in Hyrule are located. Plus, they'll probably make some changes to the overworld. It's not like they'd just completely copy the overworld from ALttP. That'd be stupid...
I just hope that the writing in this one is really good. I liked the stories and characters in most of the recent Zelda titles, but I'm under the impression that the writers don't entirely know what they're doing.

I thought that the video just said that it took place in the same world as ALTTP?Sir Real wrote:Not sure how I feel about them recycling an entire overworld. Like, I took that to mean same time period, same branch of the timeline, and same Link.
I thought it was pretty much a given that they'd use a significantly different world layout (because if you think about it, aside from the games in the Wind Waker timeline branch pretty much all the games take place in the same "overworld", namely the Kingdom of Hyrule)

And the Oracle games and Link's Awakening, I suppose.Madican wrote:Majora's Mask
Still, more than half the games take place in the Hyrule from the first game.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Yeah, I know that. I meant that they're copying the version of Hyrule used in A Link to the Past.

See what I mean? I know that most of the games take place in Hyrule, but it seems to dramatically change between each game. That's why I said that it might be nice to have some consistency here.
Wait, Link is slashing at Buzzblobs there. Why isn't he getting electrocuted?

I think they changed them to Chuchus that look like buzzblobs (or buzzblobs that act like regular Chuchus). Undoubtedly, there will eventually be an electrified version.

They will probably be blue.
Also it's probably a bad thing that I recognized the part of the LttP overworld they were in pretty much instantly.
