Re: The Legend of Zelda
Most reviews of Skyward Sword are giving it high grades.
The ones that don't have two main complaints:
1. "The Wii Motion Plus followed the player too closely, making the movements clunky."
OK, I don't see how you sucking at swinging a sword is the game's fault.
2. "The side quests felt like filler."
Well, DUH! That's what side quests are!

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Got the game a day earlier than expected. So far I've played for three hours and I think I'm getting near the first temple soon.
Loving it a lot so far. Probably the biggest thing for me right now is how daisies good the game sounds. It's amazing how much of a difference having actual instruments used for the music makes.
I still haven't listened to the symphony cd yet, although I plan to tomorrow.

Oh geez those fish with the gigantic bulbous heads frighten me. I don't even want to go near one. Luckily one by itself it easy to sneak up on.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I can't for the life of me figure out where this Goddess Chest is.
I've counted myself activating 9 cubes, and I've gone through all of the areas to double check that they're gone. However, I've only opened 6 chests, with one closed in Skyloft and another one needing a bomb to get to.
However, the last one apparently has a Treasure Medal, and I see no icon anywhere for it.
Is anyone else having the same problem or can help me figure out why it's not telling me where to find the chest? :/

On the island, get to the highest part, and look around. You should JUST BARELY see the very tops of some leaves. Climb down the vines, and it's in a little alcove on the side of the island.

The problem I'm having is finding the icon on the map that tells me that there's a goddess chest on there. I could just fly around trying to find it, but it just seems odd that I don't have any icon... :/Galaxy Man wrote:OH, OH, I THINK I KNOW THE ONE YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.Kamak wrote: However, the last one apparently has a Treasure Medal, and I see no icon anywhere for it.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Ah, apparently the icon I had wasn't for the chest on the bombable island (I found an inert chest (IE, haven't activated the cube yet) in there, and discovered the treasure medal on the island instead).
But now that begs the question... where's the icon for the chest that I'm supposed to bomb to get to? :/
Blah, I wonder if I derped somewhere.
Okay, my guide indicates (without outright saying) the chest I'm looking for is on the same island as the treasure medal chest. So it's the inert chest. The cube that goes with that inert chest is the one you get from falling into the pit in Eldin.
Just went back there, the cube is gone, but the chest is still inert.
What the hell?

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I got stuck on the Sandship. Eventually I decided I'll go see if any sidequests opened now that I have the bow. So I had to what I thought was the exit raft. Nope, that raft was actually part of the puzzle I couldn't solve. So with that out of the way I soon make it to the boss and again get stuck, this time Oh, I'm supposed to Swordbeam perpendicular to the tentacle. And what use are the four extra dowsing slots?
