What harm could come from imprisoning a hellinternet beast every night and making it hate humanity and what it stands for?
Then we can release it back into the wild.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I find the whole left hand argument pretty stupid anyways, as in, the people who were boycotting the game because he wasn't left-handed.
Seriously people? He's not even the same person, odds would be pretty good that he could be a righty, lefty, or ambi in the games.
Plus, this hasn't been the only time his lefthanded-ness has been sacrificed for gameplay purposes (LoZ, AoL, and ALttP used flipped sprites for facing sideways. so the sword hand was always facing the screen). It's called imagination, people.

I think most of the people just think that it's the same person.
Which is dumb.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
No, the one's I've met are like "Yeah, they're different people... and they're not related, but they all need to be blonde, have blue eyes, wear the green tunic and hat, and be left-handed. He can't be link without any of these things."FatOldRobot wrote:I think most of the people just think that it's the same person.

I guess Wind Waker Link having pure Black eyes doesn't matter then.
Also, I'm curious about something. Link is usually a placeholder name for the character, and between games, if a previous Link is ever alluded to they never use names (the "Hero of Time"). In fact, the only Link-like hero that we've met that's been named is MC's Gustav.
Could it be possible that the heroes aren't all named canonically named Link, but possibly all have different names? We know Zelda has the same names between the games because it's tradition to name them that, but at some point, shouldn't Ganondorf become genre savvy enough to understand that if there's a kid named Link hanging around somewhere, he should be disposed of?
For me, since they're supposed to not be related, and kinda happen to share these traits, it'd be a pretty big coincidence that all of them would be named Link (just like it's a big coincidence that they're all left-handed) and no one would realize that he's named after some old hero.
Plus, in the games, it's not like we see a ton of Links running around because it became fashionable to name kids after the hero(es) of the past.
That's my thoughts at least.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Replaying OoT, I notice it doesn't have the "three rounds of stunning him then hitting him" thing. I mean, it does, but if you try enough you can kill most of them in one or two goes. Beat Gohma with Deku sticks, Volvagia if you shoot her enough while she's flying, I think you can do this to Morpha, Bongo Bongo if you have the biggoron sword and I think you need to bomb his eye though maybe just the sword is enough, and Gannondorf.
So now this got me wondering, how will SS boss fights go?

He had brown hair in the first two games, and it appears brownish in Skyward Sword.Nap1000 wrote:What about the PANK hair in ALttP?

Re: The Legend of Zelda
That was technically a palette limit issue, since all of his concept art had him with dirty blonde hair.Nap1000 wrote:What about the PANK hair in ALttP?
And plus, if I remember, besides his hair changing a lot throughout the entire series, his eyes have been changing too. Didn't ALttP have him with brown eyes?
But no, his look has ALWAYS been consistent, and changing his dominant hand is unforgivable.
