Re: The Legend of Zelda
Argh. I think I have a subconscious laziness for finishing Zelda games. I've had Majora's Mask for almost two years and I'm still in Stone Tower. I got Twilight Princess two weeks ago and I'm only in the Forest Temple. And this is more understandable, but I have Spirit Tracks, which I can't even play because I don't have a DS. Though I did snag it at a garage sale for three dollars.

Actually, my rule of laziness applies to me on other games too. I'm still in Dream Land in Kirby's Epic Yarn, I've never finished about half my XBOX collection (there were about 14 games there), I ragequitted Megamans 5,6 and 8 (JUMP, JUMPing and SLIDE, SLIDEing comes to mind for MM8),and have I even completed 40% of my games.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I've been playing through the original Legend of Zelda recently. First Quest is nowhere near as hard as Second Quest.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
Is there a trick to the part of Spirit Tracks where you have to destroy all the evil trains in the Dark World? I can get all of them but the last two that are in a circle with each other and there's a tear of light in the middle. I have watched them forever and I can never see an opening. Each time I try they just switch direction or overtake me with their superior speed.
Re: The Legend of Zelda
Been playing though Link's Awakening again. I remember catfish's maw being WAAAAY harder as a kid.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I may not remember this 100%, but I think for that part you need to get into that circle with a tear of light already active. You kinda need to memorise all the portals (making notes on the map is useful for this) and I'm pretty sure even with the optimum route the invincibility runs out like a second after you get onto that bit, but hopefully that's all you'll need.Avengifier wrote:Is there a trick to the part of Spirit Tracks where you have to destroy all the evil trains in the Dark World? But it's been a while since I played that bit and I've no way of confirming that so if I'm wrong, I apologise.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
You know that if you blow the whistle when you have a tear of light, you can go at super speed for a while, right? That might help.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I've never played Master Quest. What changes from the main game?
Re: The Legend of Zelda
From what I heard the enemies are harder, there are more of them, and the dungeon layouts are altered.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
I find the draw to challenge modes amusing.
Godly Impossible Mode must get.
