Haha I remember once I wanted to buy the minish cap back when it first came out.
Mom said I couldn't get it because the name sounded demonic.
Ahahahaha.
Haha, that reminds me of when I first got Ocarina of Time in 1999 or sometime around then. My brother borrowed it once and I enjoyed watching him play it, so when I was at Walmart with my mom I asked her to buy it and she did, on the way home I opened it up and started reading the back, and I said, "Hey mom, it says I get to fight the King of Evil!" She replied with "What? Did you already open it?" I replied to that with a confused "Yes...?" and she sighed.

Ahh... A Link to the Past... The game that almost requires a guide for newer gamers to get through. They actually put a sort of DRM in the game back in the day. A couple of puzzles were near impossible to solve, but the answers to them were in the booklet included with the game when you bought it... beyond those puzzles though, you were really on your own. And that was back in the day when Nintendo published guides in Nintendo Power, and not many people first of all know that factoid, or subscribed to it (like me), so we had to suffer without help.

You kids these days have it easy... with your GameFAQs and your video guides and your easy to find cheat codes... Zzzzzz...

I have such fond memories with the Oracle games.

Part of me keeps wishing that Nintendo would release a new, retro-style Zelda game (in the same vein as Mega Man 9/10) and sell it on the DSi shop or something. I suppose I can dream.

Yeah, the Dark World kinda screws with people a lot... especially when you have to get into the Palace of Darkness... It's semi-difficult to figure out you need the monkey and to know you need cheddar to get it to open the dungeon... and the dungeon itself is annoying. I think the Palace is one of the hardest dungeons of the game (besides Ganon's Tower, naturally), and it's the first one you have to do in the Dark World.

However, the dungeon I'll hate forever is the Skull Woods Dungeon... I hate Wallmasters... they're the worst Zelda enemy ever.

I used to as a kid... especially when I was obsessed with killing everything in the room... I haven't been nabbed by a Wallmaster in years... but I'm still paranoid about those bastards...
