I don't like the ocean THAT much.
I never finished WW just for this. I got to this part and then completely didn't want to play any more. Other than that it's one of my favorites.

I got all the way to Ganondorf's underwater castle in WW then... just couldn't be arsed to finish the game.
As for the best Zelda... Idk if there is one - they're all relatively good.

OoT is the definitive, grand, awe-inspiring Zelda title. Everything that IS a Zelda game is OoT. Such as how Super Mario Bros. 3 is the most basic and solid Mario title.
Wind Waker is the BEST Zelda game. Despite the Triforce hunt.
Majora's Mask is like what Zelda games could evolve into if done right, but was too far ahead of it's time to work as well as the other games.
And then people like to fool themselves into thinking Twilight Princess was any good up until after Zelda 'dies'.

I liked Twilight Princess more than MM and WW.

TP has a very slow start, the first third of the game is just a drag, but it gets a lot better.

A Link to the Past is the best and if you disagree you're just dumb, FACT.

Ballad of the Wind Fish (Link's Awakening) is fairly basic by modern standards but it's one of my favourites.

Oh, I forgot about that one.
I dunno about the best part though. It's pretty much hell once you get to the Dark World. It took me days to find out where the fuck i need to go next.

The only part that I didn't like about Twilight Princess was finding the Tears of Light. But it was a great game.
Fun Temples, great creature design, nice atmosphere, a big world to explore, great combat.
There were some lame things about it, like a lot of the weapons were only useful in the temple, (I'm looking at you, Spinner and Ball & Chain) and there weren't really any side-quests to do.
But it was a fun game, and I don't understand the hate for it at all.
And I didn't mind the Triforce hunt...I like treasure hunting.

Really? I played with my brother years ago and I don't remember it being very bad. You must have skipped the dialogue because people give you important information on where to go.

I just had a thought. What if they took a staple from the franchise and turned it into a plot device? Like, what of collecting those hearts from the bosses had some sort of consequence later on?

It wasn't BAD, I just didn't know where to go next. This usually happens with me and every Zelda game, but LttP was especially bad, because it didn't even give me a hint to do ANYTHING.
I don't think my hand should be held constantly, but my god give me SOMETHING

There are markers on the map that show you the dungeons you need to beat, I think.
