Re: The Legend of Zelda
Beat Link's Awakening, but since it wasn't a no death run I didn't get the thing at the end of the credits. So now I'm doing a no death run, and it's much easier to not die when you know what's what, and know about the potion girl, and the blue armor, and actually use the shield, and jump over things instead of running into them.

Exactly this. It caught me off guard, too, cuz there was no near-death beeping.Prof. Winchester wrote:Started Master Quest today, and I died in the Deku Tree.

Man, the biggorons sword made the game super easy, oh well, still a blast.
Now time for Master Quest.

It's not hurting you until one of the moderators creates a wordfilter that changes -K- to -Faget-.Kamak wrote:It's more or less a habit I've had since I started going to forums (we all pretty much used to have them in a forum where the colors were so close you had to highlight the screen name to figure out who they were). I can kinda see your name above your avatar.

No, really; It's happened before.

And I don't really care? I really don't see how this is an issue that you need to fixate on... :/DoNotDelete wrote:It's not hurting you until one of the moderators creates a wordfilter that changes -K- to -Faget-.Kamak wrote:It's more or less a habit I've had since I started going to forums (we all pretty much used to have them in a forum where the colors were so close you had to highlight the screen name to figure out who they were). And I'm half tempted to start Master Quest, but I have too much stuff to do right now that I don't need to be sucked into the game again...
I'm going to hate the first Iron Knuckle fight... 8 hearts of damage per hit doesn't make for great fun...
Also, how does everyone feel about the circle pad controls? I've found them to be fine, and I actually prefer it to the N64 and the GC analog sticks, but I know some people don't like them...

Re: The Legend of Zelda

circle pads have always been completely flawless, silly
Since this is garbled English, please refer to the brutal attack of confusion.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
whoa hold up there
are you telling me we had circle pads since the NES
and yet we still got the N64 blistermaker2000?

You're not a man unless you've developed intense thumb calluses.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
The Adult ones aren't bad, especially if you have the Biggoron Sword, but the Child one is annoying since you have to do twice the number of hits. Plus, IIRC, the Iron Knuckle doesn't get stunned if you hit it without it's layer of armor as a kid.Ame no Akai wrote:There's what, four encounters with them? Out of all those fights, I got hit... twice, maybe. Iron Knuckles are piss-easy.

Re: The Legend of Zelda
If you don't want to be hit by an Iron Knuckle use this strategy: jump attack, backflip, let the Iron Knuckle attack, repeat. For me, they're really the easiest mini-bosses to defeat
Re: The Legend of Zelda
But that's no fun.
Also, Darknuts are absolutely a blast to fight. I love doing the Cave of Ordeals in TP, because in a room near the bottom you fight 4 at a time.

This does NOT work if they vertical swing after you attack.Alex wrote:If you don't want to be hit by an Iron Knuckle use this strategy: jump attack, backflip, let the Iron Knuckle attack, repeat. For me, they're really the easiest mini-bosses to defeat

I remember in the first one i spent all my potions/fairies and almost died against it.Chekt wrote:But that's no fun.

When i did the cave of ordeals against those 4 i didn't even get hit.
I was so proud.
