Looking for Two-Player RPGs

Post by TMBFY »

Hey - my friend and I recently completed Tales of Symphonia for GameCube (and the sequel for Wii), and we really enjoyed the multiplayer aspects. We were searching for more two-player RPGs but to little avail. Games need to be for either PS1 or GameCube/Wii, since those are the only systems we have here in the dorm. Suggestions?
Thanks!

Maybe Legendia is for PS1? Or PS2, don't remember. But Tales of the Abyss is for PS2, but it's super amazing awesome fun.

My friends and I like playing these types of games too, except there are 3 of us. It is hard to find these type of RPGs, generally they are JRPGs and you only get people with you in the combat mode.

For PS3/XB360: Eternal Sonata (3 players) and Tales of Vesperia (4 players) will let you do that. Both are fun games especially with friends, I couldn't handle JRPGs like that without other people by my side.

For the Wii:Tales of Symphonia 2: Dawn of the New World (4 players). I own this, but never played the first one and don't think I will be playing this one either. Got it in one of those gamestop buy 2 used get 1 free sales as I thought we may want to play it but we decided not to since no one brought a wii up and 2 of us never played through the first one.

If you find anymore let me know. I prefer PS3 first and then 360 for the games.

When I was thinking if I knew any multiplayer RPGs, I just could remember Secret of Mana and Children of Mana, but those are for the SNES/DS. But then I remembered, the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series is multi player based aswell, and those are pretty good ones.

I think it's more accurate to say that it's a first-person shooter that just has role-playing elements, not a full blown RPG.
